Chapter 1: The Birthday Incident
, Deepika Singh. This is a story of a lifetime. Deepika Singh was a 21-year-old girl who has loved Bollywood. In her younger years, she used to love movies from the 1980s to 2000s. This has always made her nice and wants love. She would watch movies that are loved by others. Even now in her older years, she still really believes that true love is real. Because Bollywood movies really do have real love.
Deepika has a family who she lives with, has only 2 friends, she loves her family, friends, and herself. One day, on her birthday, 22 August, the family and Deepika celebrated in a restaurant. Right after, Deepika said to her family, "Mom, I want to stay here so that I can have some time with friends." Her mom agreed, so they left.
Deepika was waiting for her friends but they were taking too long, so Deepika decided to walk around a garden which was big and had beautiful seats and flowers. So she walked for some time and was heading to the dinner. At the door, her dupatta caught with something. Since she was wearing a beautiful blue saree, she looked back and saw that it was a boy who was dressed modernly and with elegance. They both made eye contact and froze. Deepika is playing "Maula Mere Maula" in her head. They both snapped back to reality.
The boy said, "I am so sorry."
"That's ok, it's fine," said Deepika.
The boy left and Deepika stood there watching him leave. "Is it a dream or is it real?" said Deepika. She couldn't stop thinking about his face. She finally went into the dinner and found her friends waiting for her. They all hugged and they brought Deepika a nice cake to celebrate. When they were talking and enjoying, she finally told them.
"Guys, I have something to tell u and its so magical," said Deepika. They agreed so Deepika said it and... her friends were in shock! They were so surprised about her encounter with a boy. Her friends' names are Priyanka and Aadhya.
Priyanka said, "But how did it happen! Was it fate?!" Even Aadhya was amazed, so after they kept speaking about it, and after about 2 hours, it was already 7 PM. They all said good bye and left.
Deepika reached home and her mom asked, "Hi, Dee! How did u celebrate your birthday with your friends, dear?"
"It was great and nice, Ma," said Deepika. She went to her room and changed her clothes. She kept thinking about that moment. She said, "Maybe he is true love. He is like Maula Mere Maula." It was her favorite song and listened to it everyday. She has always dreamed of something like this in her lifetime. Maybe... this is the "Maula Mere Maula" effect.
The next day, on a Saturday, her family got an invitation from her son, who is Deepika's brother, to a wedding. His name is Verma. Deepika's mom was crying, and that she was very happy but also very sad because she saw that Verma had went to work for more than 2 years and already found a partner. It was a great blessing for this family. The wedding was due in 2 weeks, on Sunday. She knew that her family prepares very early for events. They had to travel to Verma's home for the wedding because they lived in Delhi and Verma in Pakistan. They had to leave early because of the wedding. After 3 days, hours later, they arrived in Pakistan. Verma went to the airport to wait for his family. He finally saw them and cried, hugged, and happy.
His mom was with his son Verma. After so long, they finally went to Verma's house. Deepika's mom was shocked at the house—it was so big and luxurious.
"Verma, can u help mom with the big bags please?" said Deepika.
Coming in the house, they were greeted by their family-in-laws. Verma's mother, Sanniye, and father, Rahul. Sanniye and Rahul greeted them nicely and kindly. Rahul caught the eye of Verma's wife, Kajol Hayaat. The family surname is Hayaat. There were 9 family members in the house, which with the 3 of them will be 12. It was a great moment for the Hayaat and Singh family!
After greeting, the families went to the dining table to eat food. Every family member was happy, laughing, and excited! They all talked with each other and enjoyable. Verma stood up from his chair; everyone went quiet.
Verma said, "Today I would like to make a toast to everyone in this house and my family who had come to see me getting married!"
Sanniye cried and said, "Lets toast everyone!" Everyone made a toast and clapped, and everyone continued.
On Wednesday, Kajol, Verma, Kajol's sister Maliya, and Deepika went to the wedding outfit shop to shop for their wedding coming up. Kajol picked the most beautiful red lehenga for the wedding and Verma matched with her red and mixed with white.
"Maliya, Deepika, are you going to get clothes now or another day?" said Verma.
"Yes, I will, Vermi!" said Deepika. Deepika has always called him Vermi when he was 15 and she was 10. She picked a nice white saree with heels.
"You look so nice and beautiful, Deepika!" said Verma. She was very happy. Then after 3 hours, they went to a jewellery shop for wedding jewels and decor. Kajol picked the golden wedding jewels. Then they all left and went home.
