Chapter 1
Chapter 1 – The First Prophecy
It all began on a completely ordinary Tuesday. Azura was walking his usual route home from school, his thoughts drifting between the exam he’d taken that morning, the homework waiting for him, and the dull routine of everyday life.
But then, something caught his eye in a side alley. Lying on the ground, nestled between shattered concrete and dry leaves, was an old camera.
Azura stopped and picked it up. It was heavy, made of a dark metal alloy, rusted in places. He looked around, but the street was completely deserted — no one there who could have dropped it.
Suddenly, without warning, a heavy mechanical sound came from inside the device.
Click.
Azura nearly dropped the camera from sheer fright. No one had pressed the button, yet a Polaroid photo began sliding out from the slot at the bottom. He caught the small print and waited for the colors to develop.
As the image came into focus, his heart skipped a beat. The photo showed a street he recognized from his city — but it was blanketed in thick smoke. People could be seen fleeing in every direction, panic etched into their movements. In the corner of the photo, a date was printed, sharp and clear: tomorrow.
“What...?” Azura muttered, his face draining of color. He flipped the photo over, checking for any sign it was fake — some elaborate prank — but everything about it felt far too real.
He shoved the camera and the photo into his bag and ran home, determined to find out the truth: was the disaster in that photo really about to happen?
