THE FOUR TRUE FRIENDS

The Four True Friends

Once upon a time, during the rainy season, there were four best friends: Juliana, Manha, Aina, and Laiba. Juliana and Manha lived in a village, while Aina and Laiba lived in a town. They had not seen each other for a very long time, but they had planned to meet again during the rainy season of 2026.

As the rainy season arrived, Juliana and Manha still had not come to meet them. So Aina and Laiba decided to travel to the village to find their friends. They packed their bags and set off on their journey.

When they reached the village, they asked some people about Juliana and Manha. One villager replied, “Oh, you are talking about them. I am sorry to say this, but they got married, and we do not know where they live now.”

Just then, a voice came from the back of the crowd.

“I know who can tell you their address,” said an old man. “Have you forgotten about their parents? They still live nearby. But you should start your journey in the morning. Do not travel at night.”

The next morning, Aina and Laiba visited the house of Juliana and Manha’s parents. They asked them where their friends were living.

After a moment, the parents replied, “After their marriage, they moved to a palace.”

“A palace?” Aina and Laiba asked in surprise. “Why didn’t they inform us?”

Their mothers sadly explained, “After moving there, they lost many of their memories. However, do not worry. They often ask us about you. They always say, ‘Who are Aina and Laiba, Mama?’ We tell them that you are their best friends and describe what you look like.”

“Can we go and meet them?” asked Aina.

“Yes,” their mothers replied. “But remember one thing. When you reach the palace, do not call out ‘Juliana’ or ‘Manha.’ Instead, keep shouting your own names: ‘Aina! Laiba! Aina! Laiba!’ May God help you find your true friends.”

With hope in their hearts, Aina and Laiba began their journey to the palace. When they finally arrived, they followed the advice they had been given.

“Aina! Laiba! Aina! Laiba!” they called out loudly.

Suddenly, Juliana and Manha heard the voices. Something felt familiar. They rushed outside and saw Aina and Laiba standing before them.

The four friends embraced each other with tears of joy. At that very moment, Juliana and Manha’s memories returned. They remembered all the wonderful times they had spent together and realized how special their friendship was.

After a long separation, the four true friends were finally reunited, and they promised never to lose touch again.
