Micromancer: Star of a new Era

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

At the edge of human corporate space a reincarnator awakened from cryosleep in a celestial body unknown to him in circumstances that shouldn’t have happened yet it did. Surviving another reset, a new purpose ignited his will to keep going. The humanity of this galaxy is millennia older than that of Earth. With three central star systems called the inner corporate ring made out of Aqua the cradle of humanity in this world, Ares the most advanced star system and Hades the most resource rich. It was peaceful the era before the fall of the corporate inner ring, a paradise where the richest and most connected ruled but that peace didn’t last mostly because of a war they had thought profitable. Automating war might have been their greatest mistake. “In retrospect we should have stopped after the first billion synths.” - Board member of Cosmos-Z Industries.

Chapter 1 Refusal

[Date: 20/04/2027] [Location: Vallis University (Earth)]

Heavy was the smell of alcohol in the room filled with metal sink-desks, burners and glassware. This was a place familiar to all that have studied anything to do with chemistry or biology.

A youth barely out of her teens entered that university lab. Her eyes pink with contacts surveyed the room only stopping after seeing a familiar large young faced pudgy man.

His straight back was facing her his attention captured with the work of grading over a hundred different clips of paper seeing the man made her sweet purple painted lips curve into a smile of excitement that clouded the reason out of her thoughts.

“Sir Lazir Pines? Are you busy~”

He didn’t even notice her entering the room so she called out to him, making the young university assistant look away from his work and making sure she sounded sweet.

Something she knows every boy can never resist.

“You're in my Ecology class. . .”

Sir Lazir Pines studied her for a few seconds which was enough for him to recognize her, it was so clear in his dark brown eyes the moment he realized who she was.

After that he went back to his work looking away from her pretending that he had no interest in a girl only a few younger than him choosing his discipline instead of succumbing to his urges.

“Yifei Smith. If it’s about your essay you don’t need to worry about it.”

Yifei didn’t know what to say to her teacher, it’s not like that’s the reason she would see him this late after classes and on a friday.

Hopefully she wasn’t showing anything ugly on her face that would ruin what she planned if she can’t even keep her sweet smile just because of her target being maidenlessly dumb.

“It's well researched, but your writing could do some work.”

Sir Lazir Pines was trying not to look at her.

“You do know using A.I programs is allowed right? Especially if it’s just for writing structure and grammar instead of research.”

Well she did use A.I on everything but if Yifei also used it on the grammar Sir Lazir Pines would have noticed.

She tried looking at the thing he was reading then she noticed something his eyes were looking at her, he was trying to make it look subtle but she wasn’t a fool to not know it if a boy was cracking letting their urges taste what they can’t immediately have.

With a grin she barely noticed crossing into her lips she gave him a better look leaning a little closer to the thing he was pretending to read.

She dressed like this for a reason why else would a girl doll herself up and show so much of her tanned skin especially her shoulders and thighs. This was supposed to just be a bet between her friends, she just needed to steal his pants but she wanted to see if the rumours were true about his prick.

It was risky and she knew it, going back to the university wearing her party clothes was nearing academic suicide but she was careful no one would have noticed her entering from the backdoor.

She needed to give her teacher a reason or he’ll just ask her to leave which made her use an excuse.

“No sir, it’s. . . something else. . .”

But Yifei didn’t have one, she was still thinking about it when Sir Lazir Pines cut her off.

“It’s fine Yifei, you can just call me Lazir. . .”

Sir Lazir was forcing a smile as he looked into her eyes.

“I’ve only been a Uni-staff for a year and I don’t think I deserve being called a Sir yet.”

Sir Lazir looked away avoiding to look at her shoulders.

“It’ll only give me a bigger head, if all of you kids keep calling me that.”

Giggle* The joke wasn't even funny but still Yifei chuckled at how bad it was and more importantly it gave her enough time to make up a reason why she was here in his office.

“Sir Lazir, can I join another group for the first semester project?”

It was obvious that Sir Lazir didn’t know what to say to her question, his face said it all. It was actually kinda cute how easy he was to read, giving Yifei the opportunity to enjoy the man’s internal turmoil that lasted seconds before he made up his mind which gave her the chance she was waiting for.

“I’ll be honest Yifei, I don’t think I can re-assign you without talking it out with professor Cassandro. . .”

Sir Lazir’s words were cut off as Yifei leaned even closer she could feel his meaty shoulder on her chest the sensual contact made him tremble, was it excitement or was he scared?

The question made Yifei want him even more.

“Please sir Lazir~ everyone I'm grouped with don’t want to work! I have a university scholarship, if I get a low grade because of this. . . I’ll lose it, my family can’t afford the whole tuition.”

Yifei did have a scholarship that was true, the lie was her actually needing that project. It wouldn't even hurt her average if she doesn’t do it at all Gulp* Sir Lazir swallowed the words he was about to say, after listening to her not knowing of her lies.

Then he stopped trembling, something changing in him.

Wivell* His chair shifted, making her take a step back.

Leaving the two of them to face each other.

She can feel her face, she’s probably blushing and why wouldn’t she? This was her first time being so direct with someone but then something broke as she saw sir Lazir’s cold frown.

“I’ll see what I can do, but under one condition. . .”

Zip* She couldn't hold back, she wasn’t even listening anymore.

Sir Lazir wasn’t even able to finish what he was about to say, instead his red lips trembled shut from seeing her slowly unzipping her jacket revealing the skin tight sleeveless beige dress underneath.

It was her favorite dress because of how much the beige highlights her tanned skin.

“Please don’t take any pictures. . .”

Those five words almost made her laugh.

The words were straight out of an adult film she had watched last night and it worked, Sir Lazir was shocked in place like a kid busted caught red handed trying to take ice cream out of a freezer.

But before she can even pull his pants down his Patt* hands pressed down on her shoulders making her flinch to a stop her knees weren't even touching the marble floor as she sat down on the flat of her feet.

“Never do this if I ever hear you pulling this stunt again, say goodbye to that scholarship.”

Sir Lazir’s words made her shake.

He was serious, his face said it all but it only made it hotter now with his big hands holding her like this he can do whatever he wanted to her she wouldn’t even be able to say no, she might scream but with how thick the walls were in this labroom no one would hear her.

Zip* But unlike most men he actually closed back her jacket.

Even pulling the jacket up to cover Yifei’s exposed shoulders as he tried giving her a gentle smile that didn't look real at all.

His smile wasn’t able to hide the anger in his dark eyes, it wasn’t even directed to her yet it made her feel something she shouldn’t have as her legs trembled and slit soaking to what it needed to take a man like him.

“I’ll talk to the others in your project group, if they truly aren't interested in passing Professor Cassandro's course. Then I’ll let you pick another group.”

That was the end of their talk as sir Lazir stood up and helped her out of his laboratory office.

She was still shaking, her fingers were already rubbing at her crotch as she stayed at the door letting her hear his tired voice.

“Sigh. . . What a mess, I always thought students exchanging ‘favours’ for grades were nothing but perverted gossip. . .”

Lazir complained to himself his tense shoulders loosening.

Now alone in his office he went back to his table.

With that mess dealt with he could finish grading essays, he did have a friend to drink with after work one of the few friends he still had.
