Chapter 1:The Quiet Before Everything
Hello everyone,
This is an ordinary story. Not the typical “CEO saves a poor girl” kind of story, but a realistic one.
Our story begins with a girl named Keerthi.
Keerthi was a 20-year-old college student enjoying her summer holidays before the serious phase of life began. Her days were simple—waking up late, scrolling endlessly through her phone, listening to her mother’s daily scoldings, arguing with her younger brother, and doing absolutely nothing productive.
To anyone watching, her life looked peaceful.
But summer holidays came with something dangerous—too much free time.
And free time meant overthinking.
She thought about her career. About whether she would get a good job. About the future that seemed to be approaching faster than she wanted.
She thought about love too.
There was a small secret she never told anyone.
At twenty years old, she had never dated anyone.
Not once.
It wasn’t that nobody had ever caught her attention. She simply never found someone who felt right. Yet, like every other girl her age, she wondered what it would feel like to be loved by someone. To have someone choose her. To experience a relationship at least once.
Then there were the endless thoughts about marriage, family expectations, and the responsibilities waiting for her after graduation.
But more than anything else, Keerthi dreamed of freedom.
Not freedom from her family.
Something else.
Something she herself struggled to put into words.
