Prolog
The Matt family always goes on vacations to their summer house which is in the middle of nowhere, all surrendered by pines and ruins of what seems to have been an old town full of life and activity now only one house stills, the Matt family’s house.
The summer house was enormous, all white as the snow, all windows were made of the finest silver of all and every detail in the house were in the most beautiful blue to have ever existed, it looked more like a castle from a fantasy novel than the house of a simply rich family of the mediterranean coast.
The Matt family were almost forty members but in that house only lived in the summer nine of them but the rest usually went to visit very often, almost every day. Those nine were an old marriage and their two children, their son and their daughter with their respective families.
Rose was the oldest, she was known in the house as the granny, she was seventy years and she passed her summers taking care of the children of her son and daughter, she also prepared the food and she was considered the greatest host to have ever existed because she will always welcome anyone who wanted to enter the house with the biggest smile on her face, her husband wasn’t very different, he was kind, gentle, an intellectual, but he was silent all the time, no words come from his mouth but it wasn’t necessary, he was respected, almost feared, no one dare to pass the line while being with him.
The son and the daughter were the sun and the moon. Joseph was the moon, just like his father but he was temperamental, sometimes cruel, people feared him, in his family he was an example to follow disregarding the fact that he ended up marrying a poor revolutionary with purple hair and progressive thoughts and worst of all they had a daughter, while Laurine was active, beautiful, always smiling, she was the perfect woman, she had married at twenty with another noble of a rich family which was the expected from a girl like her.
The three children were Miriam, Michael and Elizabeth. Miriam was Joseph’s daughter, she was quiet, pretty and smart but she was seen more as a shadow than as a real person while the other two, Michael and Elizabeth were the son and daughter of Laurine, these two were active, passionate and sometimes annoying.
Everyone knew this family, they were in every party, in every celebration, they were known by everyone but not everyone knew their secrets, their real personalities, their thoughts, they were as fictional as any character of any novel ever written.
Only in the summer do they disappear for three months in that house, no one who wasn’t from that family could enter and no one of these nine people could exit and that was a fact or that this family wanted you to believe.
Now that you have the context let me tell you my story.
