Chapter 1: First Victim
On a clear, starry night, a woman stepped out into the serene backyard, where her swimming pool glimmered under the moonlight. The air was cool and refreshing, a perfect contrast to the heated conversation she was having on the phone. Frustration bubbled within her as she listened to the other person’s words, and in a moment of anger, she abruptly hung up the call.
With a sigh, she placed the phone down on the table, its screen still glowing faintly in the darkness. She took a moment to gather her thoughts, then decided to shed the heavy robe that clung to her shoulders. As she draped it over a nearby chair, she felt a sense of liberation wash over her.
With determination, she walked toward the shimmering water of the swimming pool, the cool tiles beneath her feet grounding her. The night was peaceful, the only sounds being the gentle rustle of leaves and the soft lapping of water against the pool’s edge.
As she stepped into the pool, the cool water enveloped her, washing away the remnants of her anger. She began to swim, her strokes strong and fluid, each movement a release of tension. The water sparkled around her, reflecting the stars above, and with every lap, she felt lighter, as if the weight of the world were being lifted from her shoulders.
In that moment, under the vast expanse of the night sky, she found solace and clarity, allowing the tranquility of the water to soothe her spirit.
As she glided through the water, the woman remained blissfully unaware that a pair of eyes were observing her from the shadows, hidden by the thick foliage surrounding the pool. Her shoulder-length blonde hair floated gracefully behind her, shimmering like strands of gold in the moonlight, while her striking blue eyes sparkled with determination and focus.
The rhythmic sound of her strokes created a soothing melody, a stark contrast to the unsettling silence of the night. Suddenly, a sharp clattering noise broke through the tranquility, causing her to halt mid-stroke. She turned her head, scanning the dimly lit area around her, her heart beginning to race.
“Is anyone there?” she called out, her voice echoing softly against the stillness, but only silence responded. A chill crept down her spine as the shadows seemed to deepen, and an unsettling feeling began to settle in her chest. The peaceful night that had once enveloped her now felt ominous, and she could feel the weight of uncertainty pressing down on her.
With a mix of curiosity and fear, she hesitated, her instincts urging her to swim back to the safety of the pool’s edge. The water, once a source of solace, now felt like a barrier between her and the unknown presence lurking nearby. As she treaded water, her mind raced with possibilities, each one more frightening than the last. The serene night had transformed into a scene of suspense, leaving her on edge as she awaited a response that never came.
Out of nowhere, someone stealthily approached her from behind, deftly placing a swimming net pole on her head to suffocate her. In a panic, the woman let out piercing screams while vigorously trying to break free from the assailant's grasp. Finally managing to escape, she was still gripped by fear as a force pushed her head beneath the water's surface, violently colliding with the pool's edge, ending her life instantaneously. Her limp body floated eerily in the tranquil pool, only to be retrieved by the perpetrator and carried into her own residence. Transporting her to the sanctuary of her master bedroom, the assailant callously stripped her of her bikini and committed a heinous act of violating her.
