The Thousand Nights of Maxx DeSilva - Erotic Tales of an Immortal Wolf

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Before Sofia DeReyes became his wife, his mate, and the one woman powerful enough to claim his immortal heart, Maxximillian DeSilva belonged to the centuries. Born a Lycan prince and forged by war, blood, hunger, and desire, Maxx has walked through empires, kingdoms, battlefields, temples, courts, and shadowed bedrooms across the world. Roman camps. Viking halls. Templar fortresses. Eastern shrines. Vampire salons. Moonlit forests. Mortal palaces. Secret dens where beasts wore human skin and pleasure was as dangerous as any blade. Across the ages, Maxx encounters lovers as fierce, forbidden, and unforgettable as the world he inhabits: mortal women drawn to the predator behind his eyes, vampires who understand the language of blood and temptation, werewolves who recognize the prince beneath the man, and other creatures of myth who challenge his control, his loyalty, and his appetite. But every encounter leaves a mark. Some lovers teach him tenderness. Some test his dominance. Some awaken the beast beneath his skin. Others reveal the cost of immortality: that passion can be fleeting, memory can be cruel, and even a prince can lose pieces of himself in the arms of strangers. The Thousand Nights of Maxx DeSilva is an 18+ erotic dark fantasy collection following the sensual, dangerous, and emotionally charged exploits of an immortal werewolf before he finds his true mate. Each story uncovers another secret from Maxx’s long and haunted past—a past filled with pleasure, power, betrayal, longing, and the women who helped shape the legend Sofia DeReyes would one day love. For mature readers only. Contains explicit sexual content, supernatural themes, power dynamics, violence, blood, and dark romantic elements.

The Invitation

Madelyn Mason hesitated briefly outside the entrance to her boss’s executive office. She knocked twice, then opened the heavy oak door and stepped in. Carrying her clipboard, she approached the large desk at the back; her outfit’s sharp lines contrasted with the warm lighting.

Maxx DeSilva remained focused on his monitor, engrossed in something that clearly required his full attention.

Madelyn stood before the expansive desk, waiting patiently.

Maxx finally looked up and flashed her a brief smile. “I’m sorry, Madelyn. What do you have for me?” he asked, leaning back comfortably in his large chair.

“Two things, sir,” she said, glancing at her board as she offered him a polite, professional smile. She leaned forward, placed a note on his desk, then stepped back slightly. “Miss Davies called to let you know she won’t be able to attend the gala with you tomorrow.” Her mouth turned downward in a sorrowful expression.

“Did she happen to say why?”

“Yes, sir. Apparently, her flight from Milan was canceled, and she’s unable to book another that would allow her to arrive in time to attend.”

Maxx’s brow furrowed. “That’s unfortunate. I was hoping to spend more time with her.” He picked up the note, glanced at it briefly, and then casually placed it back down. “What else do you have?”

“A reporter is here. A Miss Willow Wilson from Channel 7 News.”

He looked up at her, his dark eyes locking onto his secretary’s. Madelyn wore a familiar, cautious look.

“Willow Wilson,” he murmured.

The name seemed to resonate instantly. He turned back to his screen and began typing.

A search engine result appeared: a professional headshot followed by a video of a field report. He watched for thirty seconds.

The woman on screen was a striking blonde with sharp, intelligent features. Her voice, with a honeyed southern drawl, softened and sharpened each word. She wore a fitted blazer and skirt that showcased her figure. The report was aggressive and accusatory, focusing on a city councilman’s alleged corruption.

“She’s headstrong,” Maxx said, leaning back in his leather chair. “And undeniably attractive.”

Madelyn moved closer. “She might be trouble, sir. She’s written several hit pieces on well-known people in New York, digging until she uncovers something or makes things appear they are not right.”

Maxx nodded thoughtfully, his eyes fixed on the still image of Willow Wilson. Her eyes. Her mouth. The stark contrast between her unwavering professionalism and that slow, sensual accent was… captivating.

“Inform her that my current schedule does not allow for an interview at this time,” he said at last, his voice decisive. “I would, however, entertain an interview at a later date. She is welcome to make an appointment, perhaps for a future time.”

Madelyn gave a small, relieved nod. “Of course.” She began to turn, then paused. “Oh. So, are you still planning on attending the company gala tomorrow? It’s at the Grand Metropolis ballroom.”

Maxx sighed as the reality of his social calendar pressed in. “I suppose I have to. It’s my function.”

“Without a partner? You really should have an escort.”

“Yes, I understand. That definitely causes a problem. Social circles will have fresh gossip to share with everyone.”

He ran both hands over the silver patches at his temples and through his thick, dark hair. The list of suitable women available to him suddenly seemed very limited and purely transactional.

Madelyn offered a sympathetic smile. “You might want to review your prospect list. I have it updated.”

Maxx turned back to his screen and the paused image of Willow Wilson.

Just as she was about to open the door and leave, Maxx’s mind appeared to connect two seemingly unrelated ideas. The gala and the reporter.

“Wait,” he said, the command clear and direct.

Madelyn turned back.

Maxx picked up a pen and a single piece of crisp, white stationery. He wrote quickly, a few lines of text in his clean, assertive script. He folded the note once and handed it to her.

“Give this to her.”

She took the note, her eyebrows lifting slightly. Madelyn unfolded it, read it, and her eyes widened. She looked at Maxx, a mix of shock and professional concern on her face. “Sir, are you sure? You want me to give this to her?”

“Yes,” Maxx said, a faint, calculating smile touching his lips.

Madelyn hesitated for only a second before the ingrained habit of following his instructions took over. She refolded the note. “Yes, sir. I’ll deliver it.”

Willow Wilson sat in the modern reception area, with perfect posture and growing impatience. She had been trying to secure an interview with Maxximillian DeSilva for weeks. His empire was extensive, and his influence hidden, with instincts suggesting there were secrets that the public never knew.

Madelyn, the secretary, came back with a neutral, unreadable expression.

“Mr. DeSilva is unavailable for an unscheduled interview,” the secretary said, her voice professional. “However, he has a message for you.”

She extended the folded piece of paper.

Willow took it, her long fingers smoothing the paper. She unfolded it and read the handwritten words.

Her breath caught. The southern drawl she usually controlled slipped out in a whisper.“Well, I’ll be…”

The note was brief and direct.

Ms. Wilson,

I have noted your request for an interview and propose an alternative. Tomorrow evening, I am hosting a company gala at the Grand Metropolis ballroom. I require a partner for the event. If you agree to attend as my guest, you will have your interview in a more… conducive setting.

I will pick you up outside your apartment at 8 PM.

M. DeSilva

She looked up at Madelyn. “Is this real?”

“It is,” the woman confirmed, her tone implying she herself questioned its sanity.

Willow quickly weighed her options. This was a unique situation. It was both a risky opportunity to approach him, observe him in a social setting, and potentially find the truthful answers her reporting needed. She had seen his photos and knew he was strikingly handsome, with a commanding presence evident in pictures and on screen.

“I accept,” Willow said, the words slipping out before her cautious, professional side could stop them. She refolded the note, a strange thrill running through her body.

Barbara simply nodded and handed her a piece of paper and a pen. “Very well. The details are as stated. If you would be so kind as to write your address, I’ll make sure you are picked up on time.”

Willow left the DeSilva Headquarters, brimming with renewed energy. The straightforward interview was no longer on her agenda. Instead, she was heading to a ball with the man she planned to investigate.

Her Upper East Side apartment was neat and modern, but tonight it looked like a dressing room for a mission. She faced her closet, with Maxx DeSilva’s note resting on her bed like a talisman.

The gown she selected was a subtle yet captivating piece of elegance. Crafted from deep emerald green silk that contoured her figure, it featured a high slit that revealed her thigh with each step. Though designed as an evening dress, it also served as a bold expression of style.

Willow carefully organized her accessories. They comprised sheer black stockings, a lace garter belt, and a dark silk bra-and-panties set, designed to accentuate her curves and enhance her silhouette. Each item was chosen not only for its aesthetic appeal but also for the gentle message it sent beneath her formal look.

As she prepared, her thoughts shifted between her professional plans and personal excitement. He was coming to pick her up, suggesting a car, a driver, and himself. This was a private conversation before the outward presentation. What questions might he ask? What would she inquire about? How close would their interaction be in that confined space?

The southern accent she had tried to downplay early in her career now felt like a tool she could use to accentuate her natural appeal. She repeated a few sentences aloud, letting the slow, melodic tones echo through her quiet apartment.

“Mr. DeSilva, I must say, this is quite a surprise…”

She imagined his face, with that composed, scrutinizing look.

Willow checked the time, realizing the gala was tomorrow. She would dedicate tonight to preparation. She hung the gown, arranged her lingerie, and finally sat on the edge of her bed, gazing at the note once more.

The offer was straightforward: she was to be his partner and guest. However, in Maxx DeSilva’s world, those words had layered meanings. She entered his orbit not as a reporter with a notepad but as a woman in an emerald-green gown with a slit up the side. The distinction between professional inquiry and personal entanglement had suddenly become blurry.

As she reflected on his commanding presence, piercing intelligence in his eyes, and the unspoken promise of closeness, a gentle, warm flush appeared on her skin.

The investigation remained the goal, but the way to reach it had unexpectedly become much more… personal.

Well, I do declare, this writer person has gone and done exactly what he said he would do. Let me fan myself! My goodness. This is just unforgivable. Just out of the blue as it were, with no proper notice and whatnot? A gentleman would NOT do this. A Yankee would and gleefully so!

and...and he left this poor woman, bless her heart, this Miss Elise Davies...unfortunate child she is, was left high and dry by this scroundrel, cooling her heels at some foreign airport, when all that cad had to do was send his private jet? Do not tell me he does not own one.

I shall reserve my opinion of this upstart for this is only the first offering, surely in a long line of many (one can only hope). Let us see how this scandalous rendevous unfolds, lest we put the cart before the donkey, people.

Reporters indeed! Nothing but trash to take out and bury in the back yard with the dead cats, if you ask my opinion. And a blonde wearing emerald green? it will make her appear all sallow and ...alien like, I'm sure. I will be at said Gala. I will be keeping a close eye on this pair of misfits.

My old pappy would roll over in his grave if he knew such a scallywag was invading such a noble, highly regarded institution with...a reporter in a green dress, at that.

give me my fan...hurry! I feel a bout of the 'vapors' coming on....
