Chapter 1 – The Day Everything Changed
The wedding hall glowed under thousands of golden lights. White roses decorated every corner, soft music filled the air, and guests smiled as they waited for the bride to arrive............
Manha stood behind the bridal room door, wearing a beautiful white wedding dress. Her hands trembled slightly as she looked at herself in the mirror............
"This is it," she whispered with a nervous smile............
For years, she had dreamed about this day. She believed love was enough to survive anything..........
Outside, everyone was waiting for the groom.
Her phone suddenly vibrated.
Unknown Number.
She ignored it.
A few seconds later, another message appeared.
"Don't marry him. He has been lying to you."
Her heartbeat stopped...............
She frowned, thinking it was someone's cruel joke.
Then another picture arrived...........
It showed her fiancé holding another woman's hand just two nights ago.
"No..."
She stared at the screen, unable to breathe.
Her best friend, Subah, walked into the room........
"Manha? Everyone is waiting."
Manha quickly hid her phone.......
"I'm fine."
But she wasn't...........
Minutes later, the wedding music started...........
The doors slowly opened............
Everyone stood as the bride walked toward the stage.
At the end of the aisle stood the man she had trusted with her future...........
He smiled as if nothing had happened.............
Every step felt heavier than the last.............
Her heart kept asking one question............
"Was everything a lie?"................
When she finally reached him, he gently reached for her hand.
Before she could take it...
Her phone rang again...........
This time, a voice message............
With shaking fingers, she pressed play...........
A woman's voice echoed through the silent hall.
"He promised he would marry me... not you."
The music stopped..............
Guests looked at each other in confusion.
Her fiancé's face turned pale.
"Manha... please let me explain.".............
Tears filled her eyes...............
"You told me honesty was the foundation of love."
He stepped closer.
"It's not what you think."............
She slowly removed the engagement ring from her finger.
"I trusted you more than anyone."
Silence filled the hall............
Then, with trembling hands, she placed the ring in his palm.
"I can't marry someone whose promises break so easily."
Gasps spread across the crowd............
Without looking back, she lifted her dress slightly and walked toward the exit......................
Behind her, voices shouted her name.
But she never stopped................
Outside, heavy rain poured from the dark sky.
Within seconds, her makeup mixed with tears.
She looked up at the storm.
"It hurts...".........
"...but maybe broken promises are God's way of protecting broken hearts."...............
She took one deep breath and disappeared into the rain, leaving behind the wedding, the guests.............
...and the life she thought she would have.
