Chapter 1
Hoper, his wife:Sarah, and their two children resided in a home close to a lake.Hoper was a retired NASA astronaut who departed for unknown reasons.Hoper lived a happy life until something happened that changed everything.
For Hoper, it was just an ordinary day.He dressed for breakfast after waking up. To his surprise, the kids were already down for breakfast.Sarah was preparing breakfast.When Hoper switched on the news, the main headline read:
“NASA is launching a space probe with people on it.That is expected to happen in a different solar system with a planet that is similar to Earth and able to support the life cycle of every single living thing.This mission is reportedly the most significant in NASA’s history and has the potential to permanently alter astronomy”.
Hoper was surprised by how much technology has improved since he left.The children exclaimed, “Did you know about this mission, dad?“I had no idea you could connect to different systems like that; I suppose they made a lot of progress after I left.“Hoper said, taking a surprise.“Well, you were probably the reason they got stuck,” the children joked.Hoper chuckled and instructed the kids to eat breakfast before he dropped them off at school.After that, Hoper was simply relaxing on his balcony when he received a phone call from an unknown number.It was from his old friend hammer.
Hammer:Hi
Hoper:Hellow! Who is this!
Hammer: Oh! so you don’t recognize me.It is been a while, of course.Do you remember at NASA you had a friend named Hammer Hamilton.
Hoper: Oh!it’s you it has been long time since I’ve heard from you.
Hammer:Yeah I know, I just thought that we can have a meetup i need to talk to you about... something important and we will also meet each other.
Hoper:yeah that sounds great but, where would me meet though.
Hammer: I’ll drop you a location of a restaurant we both could meet there, are you down for that.
Hoper:yeah sure, hope to meet you there.
Hammer:bye and see you soon.
Hammer hangs up,Hoper was quite surprised that after all this time what was the reason that Hammer wanted meet me and what does he want to talk with me about.
Hoper picks up his kids from school the kids eat lunch and after lunch hoper tells Sarah that he will be going out with an old friend.“but you never go out with your friends”She said,“I know it’s been a long time since I’ve talked to my friends that’s why I’m going out.
Hoper drives to their scheduled meeting location.Hoper walks into the restaurant and finds Hammer seated in the corner alone. When Hammer spots his friend, he gets up and greets him.They both ask each other what they have been up to since their last meeting.Hammer tells hoper that he still works at NASA.“The next time we meet, I will take you there,” Hammer says.They say their goodbyes and return.
