Chapter 1 :Aahana
The night in Mumbai was strangely cold. A freezing wind blew through the tall buildings, making the dark night feel even more lonely.
High up on the balcony of a big apartment building, a girl stood all by herself. The wind blew her hair around, leaving it messy and tangled, but she didn't seem to care. She was staring up at the moon, completely lost in her own thoughts. Her eyes looked totally empty.
Slowly, she reached down and pulled out a locket. She opened it and looked at the photo inside. As she stared at the face in the picture, tears started to fill her eyes.
In a broken, cracking voice, she whispered to herself, "Why does this always happen to me? Why do I always lose the people I love?"
She stayed out there on the balcony for a long time, just letting the cold wind hit her face.
She stood there in the cold for some time. Finally, she wiped the tears from her face, took a deep breath, and walked back inside. Instantly, the loud party hit her. The DJ was blasting music so loud the floor was vibrating, and everyone was dancing and laughing under the flashing lights. Pushing through the crowded room, she went straight to the bar and started to drink.
Just then, her friend walks up to her at the bar.
"How long have you been standing here?" her friend asks, looking worried. "It’s almost one in the morning. You should head home now, or your brother will lose his mind."
The girl laughs softly, shaking her head. "Relax. I know my brother. He would never get mad at me. He loves me too much."
Her friend sighs and shakes her head. "Whatever you say, but it’s really late. And you live far away. Seriously, it's time to leave."
The girl makes a face, pretending to be hurt. "Wow. Are you seriously kicking your best friend out of your own birthday party?"
Her friend gives a little laugh and rolls her eyes. "Stop being so dramatic, Ahana. I’m not kicking you out, I’m just looking out for you. If I don't stop you, you’ll stay here and party all night. Now go, before your brother starts to worry."
A few minutes later, Ahana steps out of the crowded club. The night air is dead silent now.
She pulls out her phone and dials a number. The moment the person answers, she doesn't even give them a chance to speak.
"Hey, come pick me up," she says into the phone. "I'm waiting near the cafe right next to the nightclub."
She hangs up immediately, not waiting for a reply. Tipsy from the drinks and completely carefree, she starts walking down the empty street.
Suddenly, a sharp gust of wind brushes past her—so fast and close that it feels like someone just sprinted right behind her.
Ahana spins around instantly, her heart skipping a beat.
But the street is completely empty. There is no one there.
She stands frozen for a moment, staring into the darkness. Shaking her head, she dismisses it as the alcohol playing tricks on her mind.
She stands frozen for a moment, staring into the darkness. Shaking her head, she blames it on the alcohol and keeps walking down the lonely road. But she has no idea that it wasn't her imagination. Deep in the darkness, an unseen shadow is standing there, keeping its eyes fixed right on her.
They say death waits for no one. When he arrives, the entire world bows down. He is supreme, unstoppable, and absolute. No one can fight him, and no one can run from him.
But what if death isn't just a concept? What if death is a real, living figure?
he is the one who has walked this earth for thousands of years, carrying a heart as cold and unyielding as frozen stone. A heart that has never felt pity, mercy, or warmth. But what happens when that stone heart actually beats for the very first time? What happens when death itself falls in love?
He isn't just a name whispered in fear—he is a dark shadow watching from the corners of the night. And now, his cold eyes are fixed entirely on Ahana. She is reckless, spoiled, and completely unaware of the danger she is in.
What will happen when the supreme ruler of the afterlife becomes utterly obsessed with a mortal girl? When the ultimate end decides that he never wants to let her go?
