Author’s Note
There are stories about monsters.
There are stories about the end of the world.
And then there are stories about the things we hide from each other.
The idea for Red Omen came from a question that wouldn't leave me alone:
What if everyone had to tell the truth?
At first, it sounds almost comforting. No more lies. No more secrets. No more pretending.
But the longer I sat with that thought, the more terrifying it became.
Not every truth heals. Some destroy. Some arrive too late. Some should have been spoken years ago, and others are buried for reasons we don't fully understand. Honesty isn't always kindness, and silence isn't always cruelty.
This story isn't about whether the truth is good or bad.
It's about what people choose to do when they're no longer allowed to hide from it.
Thank you for taking a chance on this world, its mysteries, and its characters. I hope it keeps you turning pages long after the sky turns red.
And when you reach the end...
Ask yourself one question.
If the Red Omen came tonight... what truth would it reveal about you?
