CHAPTER 1: THE OUTLIER đź‘‘
The main gate of the university was crowded as usual, but suddenly, a heavy, roaring sound forced everyone to turn around. A custom matte-black superbike screeched to a halt, and an absolute silence fell over the entire campus.
Shin Un Ho removed his helmet, casually running a hand through his messy hair, and scanned the crowd with cold, arrogant eyes. Standing at 6'1" with his coffee-tanned skin and razor-sharp jawline, he looked like a top-tier model, and his powerful physique radiated a naturally dominating presence.
A guy stepped forward from the crowd with a wide grin—it was Hon Gyul. Flaunting his broad, 6'0" heavily-bulked frame and massive biceps, he patted Un Ho's shoulder. "Un Ho! Late again? I thought you’d at least show up on time for the first day of the semester."
Un Ho spun the bike keys around his finger, his voice completely flat. "Rules aren't meant for the rich, Gyul. And besides, I am the sole heir to this entire empire."
Just then, another flashy entry stole the spotlight. Chin Wo, the daughter of a legendary actress, walked in elegantly, flipping her sharp bob-cut hair. Dressed in a stunning, chic short dress, she walked straight over, wrapped her arms around Gyul, and whined, "Baby! Are you two going to stand by the gate all day, or are we actually going to attend class?"
The three of them laughed, heading toward the auditorium as students quickly parted to clear a path for them. But amidst this starstruck crowd, there was one girl who didn't give a single damn about their grand entrance.
Shiun Bein, standing tall at 5'9" with her radiant cream-white skin and beautiful curly hair tied up, was walking silently into the building. She wore large over-ear headphones, completely lost in her own zone.
As Un Ho and his gang walked right past her, Bein didn't even bother to glance their way. Noticing her completely detached, unbothered attitude, Gyul frowned in annoyance. "Who is she? Is there actually someone on this campus who can just ignore Shin Un Ho?"
Un Ho stopped for a split second, casting a deep, piercing glance at Bein as she walked ahead without a trace of fear. A subtle mix of irritation and dark amusement flickered across his face. "Just an outlier. Let her go."
Everyone had finally gathered inside the grand auditorium, and the first lecture began. The professor picked up the microphone, clearing his throat. "Welcome to the new semester, students. This year's group project is extremely crucial, and I will be assigning the partners myself."
The professor turned on the digital screen, and the names of the group partners began to flash in bold. The curtains were up, and everyone held their breath, desperately waiting to see who they would be paired with.
