Summary

## Act I Summary Act I introduces James Walker, an ordinary boy whose life changes forever after his family receives a mysterious letter and an ancient bell from the legendary Elementary School of Arts—a school believed by many to exist only in forgotten tales. As doubt, fear, and curiosity grow within the Walker household, James receives a second letter confirming his admission and instructing him to begin his journey. Despite his mother's growing fears and the mysterious nature of the invitation, James decides to accept his destiny. On the appointed night, he rings the Founder's Bell behind St. Peter's Church, where a thick supernatural fog surrounds him, separating him from his parents and the ordinary world. There he encounters the mysterious guide, Mr. Flick, who leads him through an eerie path to the hidden academy. The act concludes as James climbs the great staircase toward the Elementary School of Arts, unaware that he has just taken the first step into a world filled with ancient magic, forgotten secrets, and a destiny far greater than he can imagine.

Chapter 1

ACT 1: SCENE 1

(THE WHISPER)

SOMEWHERE IN THE SPACE

Darkness.

Silence.

An unknown voice speaks.

Well...

How long hath it been?

A century?

A thousand years?

Nah.

Long enough.

(Long pause.)

Behold the Earth.

So small.

So fragile.

And for that insignificant world...

I was cast into darkness.

(Evil chuckle.)

The Gods preached unity.

The Gods preached mercy.

The Gods preached kindness.

Yet they feared me.

They feared what I could become.

And thus they forged my prison.

But where are they now?

Gone?

Dust among the stars?

(Evil laughter.)

Yet I remain.

And soon...

The Stones shall be mine once more.

The barrier shall break.

The Codex shall be found.

And when that day arrives...

Humanity shall learn the meaning of fear.

I am coming.

The age of silence is over now.

(Evil laughter echoes.)

Darkness returns.

The Voice Disappears………

SCENE ENDS……

Father: Yes that’s the thing it isn’t friction its’s actually there and our son was chosen for the school.

Mother: Oh my! That means our son will become a sorcerer soon. I am very happy to hear that news.

Father: me too.

James: Excuse me? What are you guys are talking about?

Father: Son you didn’t even know how lucky you are?

James: Oh! Really? You mean it?

Father: Yeah! Ofcourse you are a lucky boy to be chosen by that school you should be proud of yourself.

James: Proud for what? for joining that school? You didn’t even know it actually exists or not?

Father: No son it’s true.

James: No dad it’s not, it’s a prank someone had pranked us.

Father: No it’s not prank my boy you are chosen to be a part of that school.

James: Do you guys mean that I have to go that school now?

Father: yah!

James: well! I must leave now.

Mother: hey! Hey! Come here I said, James? James?

(James left the scene)

Father: Leave him hon! He is completely scared, it’s natural.

Mother: I think you should talk to him.

Father: Yes! I do.

(They both leave the scene)

Later that day at night in the Jame’s room.

Enter: Father.

KNOCK! KNOCK!

James: com in.

James: Oh! hi dad.

Father: hey bud is everything alright?

James: well sorry for the morning dad a-actually I-I was scared and panicked too.

Father: I completely agree with you my son.

James: you mean it?

Father: yeah.

James: wait! What’s that? In your hand?

Father: Ah! That’s a diary.

James: A dairy?

Father: Yeah! It belongs to my father, he had left for you he told me to give it to you when the letter comes home.

James: Dad I don’t want to go to that school at any cost.

Father: Right now I want you to listen my words carefully and after that you just go through the diary. I hope you will get all your answers.

James: okay.

Father: son when I was at your age my father used to told me a story of a school which was massive, old and It was situated at the top of hills always surrounded by mist.it was a such kind of school where students learned about something unique i don’t know actually but something different from other schools. So one day I saw my father’s door was opened so I entered the room there was no one from there I found this diary and in the cover page there was the same logo as it was there on the bell that you have got today.

James: That means grandpa know about the school?

Father: I-I don’t know maybe or not. But it is true that my father used to hide something from us. But you know what when I saw that bell I remembered that once I also saw a bell in my father’s room.

James: That means he was a student of that school?

Father: umm maybe.

James: But why me? Why they had chosen me?

Father: Look I am unaware about these stuffs but one thing I will say that maybe you are special or maybe you have something that other don’t.

James: I don’t know dad but I don’t want to leave you and mum.

Father: I know son but you have to do it don’t leave this opportunity.

James: But dad everything is going fine here my school my friends everything.

Father: there also you will make some new friends don’t worry. Just remember one thing me and your mum always proud of you and we are blessed to have a son like you so never feel alone we are always with you.

James: I know dad I know,

Father: Son so what have you decided will you join the school? It’s a great opportunity for you.

SCENE: 3

(THE ECHOES OF THE PAST)

THIS SCENE TAKE PLACE IN THE SAME NIGHT IN JAME’S ROOM AFTER FATHER LEFT THE ROOM HE OPENED THE DIARY.

ENTER: JAMES

James: “This diary belongs to Arthur James Walker.”

Page turned,

James: “void may return, it will be the end.”

More pages turned,

What’s rubbish things were written in this diary who is void? Well there are many symbols and some kind of patterns are drawn. Why grandpa left this dairy for me?

What is the relation of that school with grandpa?

Why he left this dairy for me only?

Why I had been chosen?

Am I special?

Ah! So confusing. I think I need sleep now that would be better.

“He kept the dairy on the table. But something fell from the diary on the floor.”

James: what’s that?

A letter?

Another letter?

It’s kind of a message.

It’s grandpa’s message for me.

“He opened that paper and start reading”

“To,

James Walker,

If you are reading this letter that means you are selected by Elementary school of arts. Here in this school you will be able to know something that may change your life forever or this can be a threat for your life also, so make sure you are ready. But son remember one thing don’t try to know something that is forbidden and do not make the same mistake that I have done it can destroy you.

By,

Arthur James Walker”

James: sigh. Take deep breath,

I don’t know what happen to you grandpa?

But there’s something happened to you earlier.

And I need to find that

I have to go to that school to know what happened to you what forbidden thing you were aware?

What kind of threat?

I need to know everything,

(He leaved the scene),

Scene end.

SCENE: 4

(ANOTHER LETTER?)

THIS SCENE TAKES PLACE ONE WEEK AFTER JAMES RECEIVED THE FIRST PARCEL INCLUDING BELL.

IN THE MORNING, AT WALKER’S RESIDENCE.

ENTER: MOTHER, FATHER, JAMES.

(AT DINNING TABLE)

Mother: A week past but nothing happens, don’t you

think something is wrong? I mean we never hear about that school we also don’t know either it exists. Just think about it how strange it was that when we received that strange parcel and we got a bell including a letter from that school and then you figured out that it was from such type of school which’s story was told you by your father when you were a kid?

Father: Remain silent.

Mother: Are you listening to me? How we will enrolled our James into that school? We are already on credits, and what about this present school and what will we say to our neighbours where did he gone, how we will make them believe this? Are you still listening to me?

Father: Hmm.

Mother: I think that the school is not probably likenormal convent school just like our St. Madona. At the beginning I was excited for that latter but now its really a issue don’t you think? Are you listening to me?

Father: Hey! Do you know yesterday night at 16th street a girl was found missing neighbours claimed that at night they saw some strange people who are in strange costumes seems like they are related to occultism and they took her for any kind of ritual practice they took that girl with them. It was probably claimed by a lady who was “Shelly Maddock” when she was closing the window then she saw that girl from her second floor, girl name was”Becky Hamilton” around 12 to 14 years old, 16th street of Glennwalk, reported time of her kidnapped was nearly 1:30am.

Mother: How awful that was she was nearly our james age whether this incident is related to our james’s new school?

Father: I don’t think so it is related.

Mother: whatever stop reading this kind of new at the very morning aren’t you getting late?

Father: Don’t worry darling! Micky will come to pick me.call James it’s already half past eight in the clock.

Mother: James, James?

THUD! THUD! THUD! (coming downstairs)

Coming mom,

James: Good morning.

Father: Morning.

James: what’s for breakfast?

Mother: boiled eggs, bread and butter. Take your seat and have your meal.

James: my cocoa?

Mother: coming.

Father: Hey! son have you found anything from that diary I have given to you?

Mother: which diary?

Father: Well it’s our little secret. Right?

James: yeah!

Sudden door knock!

Father: son go and check it out might be some postcards.

James: Dad? Mum?

Mother: What happen?

James: Another one (sighs)
