Chapter 1- the Night of Shadow
It was a cold night.
The moon shone brightly as darkness covered the silent streets.
Liora tightened her coat and walked a little faster.
"I should've reached home by now..." she whispered.
A chilly wind brushed past her, carrying a strange feeling that made her stop.
"...Who's there?" she asked, looking around.
No answer.
Only silence.
Suddenly...
Tap... Tap... Tap...
Footsteps echoed behind her.
Her heartbeat quickened.
"Please... koi hai?" she called out softly.
The footsteps stopped.
She slowly turned around...
But no one was there.
A shadow moved across the rooftop.
Two crimson eyes watched her from the darkness.
"I've finally found you..." the mysterious figure whispered.
Far away, inside the royal palace...
King Aiden stared at an ancient prophecy.
"The cursed girl has awakened..."
"If we don't find her before the next full moon..."
"...my life will end."
The moonlight shone brighter...
And Liora had no idea...
The moon had already chosen her. 🌙🖤
