The Apartment

Sebastian's shoes thud softly against the concerte floor of the apartment complex, It is dirty, Rundown but It's what his parents can afford... He walks to his apartment door rustling the keys in his pockets before taking them out opening it. As he stepped into the apartment the smell of cigarettes and cheap liquor hitted him in the face instantly, He walked deeper into the Apartment slowly looking around feeling heavy tension... Did his parents get into a fight?... Maybe... He could only hope that they didn't...Sebastian walked into the living room seeing his mother sitting on the couch with trembling hands smoking a cigarette her greasy hair falling over her shoulder. Her relaxed pose with one foot on the tabble... She looked at Sebastian before smiling almost sickeningly and saying.

"Oh my sweet boy you are finally home! I missed you"

She didn't bother getting up...... She took a slow long drag of her cigarette before saying 

"Did you see your father? That dumbass was supposed to be home by now"

Sebastian shook his head and his mother rolled her eyes before mumbling something that Sebastian couldn't hear. As she took another drag Sebastian's Father came home... A sweet looking young man with glasses and a neat side part, someone so innocent people would pity why he married such a woman. 

"Hello Sebastian... Alicia" 

He said his voice too sweet and naive for the cruelty of the world... And that sweet smile.. It infuriated Alicia... Why did he dare to be happy while she was miserable... She just dissmised him with her hand before saying.

"hello Hank"

She said her voice blunt and unintrested.

Hank sighed... Walking past Sebastian and into the kitchen before asking Alicia.

"Oh you didn't cook?"

He asked... A simple question yet for Alicia.. It was like an attack.. She gritted her teeth. Before speaking her voice full of malice 

"of course I didn't fucking cook do I look like a house wife for you you asshole?"

She said... Hank sighed before replying trying to defend the situation.

"No.. I was just informing myself if-"

He was cutted off by Alicia's words again. 

"Blah blah blah... Your insufferable"

She said taking a long drag of her cigarette making sure the smoke stayed in her lungs long enough before she coughed it out. 

Hank looked away not wanting an argument while Sebastian stayed in the middle not daring to move... Arguments between his parents were violent... Often resulting in either broken limbs or furniture but this... Felt different... Hank took out some things from the fridge making himself a sandwich... Alicia coughed a bit again before speaking 

"Make me one too"

She said as if a command not a request. 

Hank stopped for a second... He wanted to keep his positive front but... Just couldn't anymore... So he inhaled sharply before saying

"You can make your own"

The room froze... Alicia looked at Hank as if he said that he killed her mother or bombed a restaurant... She stood up slowly walking into the kitchen staring intensly at him shoving past Sebastian as if he was not important now... She stared... For good few seconds before speaking quietly. 

"Excuse me?"

Hank didn't waste no time before speaking.

"You can make your own... Listen... I think we should really consider the psychologist I told you about I just think it would be great for you to-"

Suddenly Alicia grabbed a pan bashing it into Hank's face... He fell down on the floor, Gasping for air before looking at Alicia, she had thouse psychotic emotionless eyes... Sebastian watched... Not knowing if he was supposed to help or just stay behind... Before Hank could say something she grabbed the plate wich the sandwich was on and threw it on his head, The plate shatterd leaving small pieces stuck in Hanks face... When he tried to stood up... Alicia grabbed a fork... Slaming a foot on his stomach knocking his air out before Kneeling and stabbing into his eyes... She was in a sadistic rage... Screaming in anger while Hank screamed in Agony... Sebastian stood... Shocked.. Traumatized... Unable to move... Unable to do anything... In the situation... Sebastian felt completely helpless... As Alicia finally stopped... Hank's eyes were... Gone... Replaced with bleeding holes as he cried in agony... Before Alicia delivered a finishing blow into his troath... The screaming stopped... She stood up... Breathing heavily... Dropping the fork... Looking at her hands covered in blood before... Turning to Sebastian she smiled and chuckled slightly 

"Daddy was... A tad bit rude don't you think sweetheart?" 

she said... Sebastian finally able to move took a step back, His mother titled her head "Something wrong sweetheart?" she said walking closer, and closer... Until Sebastian was against the wall, she putted a bloodied hand on his cheek the smile still on her face... Before speaking.

"Do not worry sweetheart... I will take care of you"

But Sebastian? His heavy breathing and fear... Seemed to... Annoy her... She letted out a tsk before speaking

"stop that" 

She said annoyed... But Sebastian didn't...she repeated 

"I said stop" 

Nothing... She repeated again her voice rising

"I said STOP!" 

Again nothing! Until she screamed in anger again. 

"STOP THAT YOU SHIT" she grabbed Sebastian by the troath starting to choke him and banging him against the wall. 

"YOU NEVER LISTEN TO ME" she continued screaming, banging, choking while Sebastian stayed helplessly in her grasp struggling... 

It seemed all hope was lost until... Someone banged on the wall... Alicia stopped... Before answering with sudden calmness.

"Who is this?"

A  male voice on the other end spoke 

"Ma'am we are from the Austin Police department we received a disturbance from your neighbors"

Alicia cleared her troath speaking calmly again 

"Oh I just had an argument with my husband it is fine you know how marriages are!"

She faked laughed... But the officer didn't buy it. 

"May we come in? 

Alicia froze before speaking calmly again 

"Do you have a warrant?"

The officer responsed his voice becoming more suspicious

"It will only be a quick search... Your neighbors reported extensive screaming and banging we have to check it out"

Then Alicia sighed in annoyance before saying sweetly.... 

"Of course then just hold on a second"

She said grabbing a the fork from the ground near Hank's body... She went to open the door the fork behind her back... She smiled at the police officer blocking view into the apartment... 

"So you want to come in?"

She said... The officer looked at his partner and nodded...As he stepped forward Alicia lunged at him stabbing him into the neck... His partner reacting quickly took out a taser and imideatly Tased Alicia... After few seconds... She fell to the ground... The partner imideatly called parademics on the scene as the Officer sat on the ground pressing on his wound... The partner went into the apartment... Seeing the gory mess of Hank's body and... Sebastian crying on the floor bruise marks around his neck... The partner went to him... Crouching before speaking... 

"What.... What happened here kid?" 

Sebastian cried for few seconds his head burried in his knees before... Looking at the partner... And saying softly... 

"I want to Leave"
