Chapter 1 What is love?
This heart of mine just wants to fall in love every day—without the use of sunglasses, without filters, without hiding.
I have seen fake love. I have experienced it. I have seen real love, and I have experienced that too.
Love has led me home—back to myself.
Love is in the darkness we overlook. Love is in danger. Love is in chaos. Love is in the things we fear, the things we don’t understand, and the things we often run away from.
I can say this: love is a state of being.
You don’t have to suffer to be in love. You don’t have to be miserable to be in love. You don’t have to hurt yourself just to prove that what you feel is real.
You can fall in love every day.
Love is not a dedication to one person. It is not something that belongs to only one place or one thing.
I have come to the conclusion that I want to fall in love every day until I die.
I want to fall in love with birds, with living things and non-living things. I want to be in love with air, fire, water, sound.
I want to fall in love with the darkness and the light. With the beautiful and the ugly. With the calm and the chaos.
I want to fall in love with things that make sense and things that don’t.
I just want to be in love.
To look at the world without sunglasses. Without filters. Without needing to make everything beautiful before I can love it.
I want to love things as they are.
I want to fall in love with existence itself.
