The Years Between Us (Ashbourne Series)

All Rights Reserved ©

Summary

Rosalina Langford has spent years surviving a life that nearly broke her. After escaping an abusive relationship, Rosie is finally rebuilding her world. She has her own home, a job she loves, and her son, Jett, who has always been her greatest reason to keep going. At thirty-nine, she isn't looking for romance. She's certainly not looking for complications. Then she meets Malcolm Young. At twenty-one, Malcolm is eighteen years younger than Rosie, charming enough to make her blush and persistent enough to challenge every excuse she makes to keep him at a distance. He's also her son's close friend. Which makes him completely off-limits. Malcolm doesn't care about the years between them. He sees the woman beneath Rosie's insecurities—the woman who deserves to be loved, cherished, and reminded that her past doesn't define her future. But Rosie has spent too long putting everyone else's happiness before her own. She's terrified of what Jett will think, what people will say, and whether she's brave enough to risk the little life she's worked so hard to rebuild. And when the past she thought she'd escaped threatens to drag her back into darkness, keeping Malcolm at a distance begins to feel safer than letting him in. Malcolm is ready to love her openly. Rosie is still learning how to let herself be loved at all. Because sometimes, the hardest part of finding happiness isn't falling in love. It's believing you're allowed to keep it.

Foreword

This book can be read as a standalone; however, it is closely connected to my other novels, The Memory Between Us, The Walls Between Us & The Home Between Us

Jett, Cordelia, Simon, Seth, Clark and Amelia will appear throughout this story, and their journey plays an important role. If you’d like a deeper understanding of their characters, I recommend reading their books first.

With that said—enjoy! ;)
