Dear Bear
Dear Bear,
I’m untethered from the wicked mother’s domination
Though not mitigated of my fraternal duties
As I croon the melodies of newfound freedom
The tempests of guilt claw at my rosy cheeks
For when I bid you farewell
I bound you to a cage of her creation
Without a hand to hold and a tongue to soothe
The key was laid far beyond your grasp
Obscured in the cold blanket of isolation
Strike your tongue against her cruelties like a match
Casting a glow within your desolate confines
In which the key shall glisten
Even if your hope may falter
Observe the moon’s dance across the night sky
And as it casts a brilliant light upon your features
Know the craterous planet will never be as luminous as the warmth within your soul
