Chapter 1

The wind was howling. So strong that every time it hit something, it made a strange, eerie sound. The street was completely deserted. No one had come or gone for years.

In the middle of it, Rang was walking towards his home.

Then he saw it, right in front of him. An old school.

Everyone said it was a terrifying place. Haunted. They said many hosts lived inside it.

He looked inside. The condition was terrible. Long, thick cobwebs hung from every corner. And the broken windows were banging loudly with each gust of wind, as if someone was deliberately knocking them.

And then Rang took two steps forward.

That’s when he felt it. Something rushed past him, fast. Too fast to see.

His heart sank. Sweat started dripping from his forehead.

And the sound of that sweat falling... even that began to sound scary to him.

Rang got so scared that he fainted right there.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself inside the school.

The atmosphere was even more terrifying.

He got up, trembling, and ran towards the door with all his strength. But as soon as he reached it, Bang! The door closed on its own.

And then... complete silence.

No birds, no animals. It felt like the noise of the whole world had been erased.

That’s when he saw her in the corner.

A host was standing there.

Rang was scared, but he still gathered courage and asked, "Who are you? What do you want from me? Why did you bring me inside? What have I done to you?"

And the host... she wasn’t scary at all. She looked like a very beautiful girl.

Rang was so shocked seeing her that his legs began to tremble.

The girl asked softly, "Do you know me?"

Rang stammered, "N-no. I don’t know you."

The girl smiled, "Now you will. My name is Yunbi. I’m the girl who died in this school. You help me."

Rang said, "How can I help you? You committed suicide."

Yunbi’s eyes suddenly turned red. She shouted, "No! I was murdered. I didn’t jump. Someone pushed me. And I have chosen you. Your heart is the purest out of everyone. I hope you will help me."

Rang asked, "Do you remember anything else? Who was it? A woman, a man, a boy, a girl?"

Yunbi shook her head, "I don’t remember anything."

Rang held her hand and said, "Yunbi, you have to tell me. You have to remember."

Yunbi immediately said, "Yes! I remember."

Her voice was shaking. "On the day I was murdered, that same morning when I came to school, a vase fell on my head. The injury made my head hurt so badly that the teacher told me to go to the rooftop and rest. And that’s why I went to the rooftop. After that, I remember nothing."

She paused and then whispered, "But I do remember this... the person who pushed me was wearing a black raincoat. And he had a tattoo on one finger of his right hand."

Tears started falling from Yunbi’s eyes. "When he pushed me, everything in front of my eyes became blurry. That’s all I r

emember."

Rang clenched his fist. Now he had 2 clues:

Jessica: Tbh I wasn't expecting much from this app but God damn this book was excellent. The character build up was slow at times but really on point because of it.
