Shattered Echoes

"Amy, are you ok dear? Oh my God! Don't cry, love. I am worried about you. Please tell me. "Grace was truly worried about her.

"Please go, Grace. I don't wanna talk to anyone right now."

Amy was crying and Grace didn't want to leave her alone as she was her only friend. Grace knew that Amy was crying because of that bastard again who left her again like all other times.

Amy who was consoling her for 3 hours spoke this time but in the protective tone. "Amy, I am not leaving until I hear a word from you. I know very well why are you crying. You don't need to let your tears fall because of some jerk and ruthless bastard. I told you many times to get separated from that bastard but you insisted on not leaving him. You know that you have wasted your life, you have destroyed your time, you've lost your money and..."

Amy was not listening to her she was just crying. She didn't want to listen this all, again, which she had listened thousands of time. Grace knew that Amy isn't paying attention to her this time again but she wanted to tell her all this again this time.

"And your age ,as well. Yes!(shouting)Yes. Your age. Ahh! Why don't you understand you stupid girl. Stop chasing him. He is not sincere with you."

"But it hurts." Amy pointed a finger to her heart. "This thing hurts. Whenever I think of leaving him, my heart aches. It aches much that I feel breathless. How can I leave him, when we made so many memories together. We enjoyed so much time together , happily." Amy although was not sure what she was saying .She tried to gather all the happy moments she spent with Jason, but she failed to think of any happy moment. Her mind became full of sad memories of how many time Jason cheated on her. Every time he cheated Amy was the one who apologized , who tried to get him back in her life again. Grace couldn't understand what was wrong with her.

"I beg you ,Grace. Please call him one more time. Please tell him that I would die without him." Amy began to cry, loudly.

Grace was disappointed in her but she didn't want to laver her, crying. She took her phone out of her bag and called him, bell was ringing but no one put the phone on the other side it was continuously ringing until stopped.

"See, I told you he wouldn't pick up but you are not listening to me." Amy just looked at the Grace helplessly. Like she was begging her to bring Jason.

"Stand up, Amy. Wipe off your tears. And listen carefully to what I am going to say now."

Amy stood up and wiped her tears. "We are going to his house for the last time. If he don't want to see you or tell you to leave then I will not listen a second word and will bring you back ,ok." Grace was hopeless and she already knew the consequences but she didn't want to lose her friendship.

Amy nodded and didn't give a reply as if she was ready.

They went to bus stop and took the bus to the Houstan valley. They travelled in a complete silence. When they reached at the Jason's house. They saw that there was a party going on in his house. Somebody recognized Amy and let her in the house. Might be he was Jason's friend. Jason never introduced Amy as his girlfriend to his friends. That's why only few knew their relation.

Grace hold her hand and went inside. They were surprised to see the decorations and music , most specifically the type of clothes they(the guests) were wearing which cleared the theme of the party very well. They were barely wearing any clothes, but It didn't affect Grace and Amy as they were not her for all this.

They stopped on seeing Jason embracing a girl in the garden. They were in same condition as in all those guests were. Jason saw Amy entering the garden , he stopped and put a grin on his face and excused the girl. He was walking towards them, he was like a devil who was ready to attack oh his prey.

"Oh! Look who's here. Amy, I knew you would come to me again and will forget everything that happened in the morning. I was drunk and you know I didn't want to slap you because of that girl. She was just my classmate. Girl, you know how much I love you. Let us forget about everything and actually she is here, She is very upset about what you did this morning , you shouted in front of her. She is very sensitive. I think your apology will make up for your doing."

Amy stood there with the heart aching so much that it could burst at any moment.

"Ella, dear come here, She wants to apologize on her behaviour. She wants to get me back in her life so yeah I'll only go to her if she apologizes." Jason was talking to that girl whom he was embracing a few seconds ago.

Grace couldn't hold her emotions. She walked towards Jason and tried to slap him but someone grabbed her hand by stopping her to slap him. The crowd went silent and everyone began to look at them.

Grace saw Amy beside her, grabbing her hand. Amy put her hand away. Grace was disappointed again. How could a person be so dumb that he/she could not see what is the reality? Grace stepped back.

Jason laughed as he knew she(Amy) would at the end apologize to him. He signalled Ella to come forward. Ella came forward without any hesitation. Amy looked at Jason first. He moved his head as if he were saying to apologize to her immediately.

Amy was ready and she stepped closer to them and all of a sudden she slapped on the Jason's face so hard that her hand was printed on his face. Jason became so flustered as the crowd wooed to him. He grabbed Amy's hand tightly. It hurt her . Grace stepped forward but Jason signalled his friends and they moved and grabbed her.

Amy was shouting." Leave me, you bastard." But Jason didn't leave her. He wanted to take revenge. He took her to the tables where food was placed grabbed some drinks and poured all on her . She was completely soaked in those smelly drinks. Her vision became blurry. She tried to free herself from his hold but couldn't do so. He dragged her to the pool and wanted to push her off in the pool but at that moment a man came forward and grabbed his hand, freed Amy's hand from Jason's , put his hand on Jason's shoulder , grabbed him by the collar and then pushed him in the pool. That man then hold Amy’s hand but felt that she was dizzy. She lost her control and fell on the ground.

Everyone was in shock and tried to understand what happened. Who was that man?
