"Your order sir?"waiter asked when I seated myself comfortably in a table near window. I always prefer outer view.

"One Coffee bro, that's enough" I said and took out my phone from pocket to check whatsapp. It became a habit nowadays.

I sensed someone sat infront of me. I looked up from the phone screen and froze at that moment.

"Anjana?!" I said and looked around confusedly.

"Good that you still remember me Vignesh" she said. She wore the same blue saree which she had when I first met her.

"How come you're here?"

"I wanted to see you, infact wanted to talk to you badly" she said.

"After ignoring me for months? Seriously?" I sighed and turned my face away from her.

"I know you would be mad at me"

"Mad? I wish I could say words that were far worse"

"No, I wasn't. I was just mad at myself. For my greed, for my bad decisions I took for you...for.."I was about to say and she interrupted.

"You can abuse me if you want. I'll wait till you finish" she said.

"Is that why you're here? To make up for your remorse?"

"No. I felt like being with you. Feel the old connection between us. The old 'Anju-vignesh'." She said.

My heart sank at her words. I felt guilty for being like an ordinary broken guy. We both mutually decided to part our ways, but her absence just made me broken. I remained silent hunging my face down for few seconds.

"Sir coffee. Anything else?" Waiter asked while placing a coffee cup infront of me in the table.

"Huhh...Green tea. She likes green tea" I said to him. She smiled at me and the waiter left after noting the order.

"You still remember what I like"

"I've never forget anything actually"

"I feel the same way Vignesh"

"Huh? Is that so? When is my birthday?" I asked playfully.

"3rd febraury, STR's birthday. Star sign aries..want more?" She said in response.

"Haan..okay okay I agree. You do remember" I said and smiled at her.

"Hmm...I'm sorry for everything. I..."she started to say.

"Please don't Anjana. I don't wanna ruin this conversation now" I said stopping her in mid. She too a deep breath.

"Huh..okay. How's going? Life, writing, etc?" She diverted the topic.

"Just the same routine. Studies, shuttle and spending time with friends" I said.

" What about your writing? I think you forgot to mention that, did you?"

"I don't write anymore. We both started it together and it pains me everytime to do on my own now" I said.

"Huh? Is that it? Is there only a bad impression on me ? You said you were happy with me when we were together"

"That's what the real problem is. I can't just regain the same happiness you gave me. It feels like everything washed away along with you"

"Hmm...I know. Those were some precious days in my life too. Do you remember the art you drew for me?"

"Yeah...it took 2 hrs to finish. I checked on your messages at times. It motivated me to make it perfectly"

"Hmm...I was not lucky enough to have it" she said and her eyes turned moist.

"It's not you. I'm the unlucky one here Anju" I held her hands.

"Sorry....you hate crying, don't you" she wiped her eyelids and faked a smile.

"It's okay. Sometimes we can't control every emotions of our's"

The waiter came back with her green tea. We both took our respective cups and sipped them.

"And how's your's? Your life? MBA?" I asked.

"It doesn't matters" she said and seemed to be immersed in a deep thought.

"What's cooking inside your head now?" I asked after finishing my coffee in a single sip.

"You should write again" she said directly looking into my eyes.

"I told you. I can't. Things are different now"

"Who cares about that? Do you remember what I asked you on our last convo?" She asked.

"Huhh...you wanted me to continue writing"

"It's my only wish. I didn't ask you anything either. Can't you consider this for me?" She said. I couldn't speak anything further and kept numb.

"May be we are not together. But that doesn't mean I'm not with you Vignesh"

I looked at her puzzled.

"What do you mean Anjana?"

"I'm always there in you. In your words, in your Pen and Paper. Please write again" she said.

"But that's..."I started to talk but heard ah loud noise interrupting us.

"What's that sound? Anjana? You...?" my lips trembled when I saw her face fading little by little. I felt like I was falling down from a high spot.

"What the fuckkkk" I screamed.

When I sat up,I found myself in my bed. My phone alarm was beeping.

"Shit. What a fucking nightmare" I held my forehead and got up to bathroom. After refreshing myself, I came out to my writing table.

The dairy which I used to write stories was covered with dust and laid on a corner.

"May be she is with me" I thought.

I took out my pen and dusted the dairy. I started writing those incompleted chapter which I left few months ago. My heart felt light, I recollected all the pleasant memories with her. But it felt different this time. I didn't feel any sadness at all. I was in a relax state, the way she wanted me to be.

After making several corrections and rough copy,I read my own draft again.

"Thank you Anjana" I whispered while smiling at my Pen and Paper.
