Sreesha-The Beginning Of Mysterious Story

Sreesha was a 20-year-old girl who was intelligent, hardworking, and belonged to a middle-class family. She lived with her parents and her younger brother.

Like every other morning, Sreesha got ready for college. Before leaving, her mother packed a lunchbox for her because after college she taught tuition classes to students from Grade 1 to Grade 4. Her father was also getting ready to leave for work. He worked as an employee in a local shop.

Sreesha left home with her father. On the way, he dropped her near the college and then continued to his workplace.

During the first lecture, the teachers announced the internal exam results. Sreesha had secured the second rank in the class. As soon as the lecture ended, her classmates gathered around to congratulate her. She was overjoyed.

There was a boy in her class named Harsh. He was also 20 years old, the only child of an upper-middle-class family. He had secured the second rank. Harsh had always been jealous of Sreesha because she consistently outperformed him in academics.

When the teacher praised Sreesha in front of the entire class for her excellent performance, Harsh became furious. He had two close friends, Deep and Mayur, who studied in the same class.

Deep tried to calm him down.

"Relax, Harsh. This was only the internal exam. The board exams are three months away. Work harder and prove yourself there by securing the first rank."

Just then, a group of girls passed by. They were good friends with Harsh. They had overheard his conversation and noticed how upset he was. Instead of comforting him, they made him even angrier.

One of them said, "Sreesha is the teachers' favorite. No matter how hard you try, you'll never be able to beat her."

After the girls walked away, Harsh silently kept thinking about their words. His anger continued to grow. Finally, he went to the college canteen with Deep and Mayur.

As they entered the canteen, they saw Sreesha sitting with her friends, happily eating the lunch she had brought from home. Everyone was laughing, joking, and celebrating their good exam results.

The sight made Harsh lose his temper completely.

In a fit of rage, he kicked a chair so hard that it crashed across the canteen. Without saying a word, he stormed out. The entire canteen fell silent as everyone stared at him in shock.

Harsh didn't want to stay in college for even another minute. Deep and Mayur followed him outside.

The three friends rode their motorcycles to a quiet riverside on the outskirts of the city. It was afternoon, and the place was completely peaceful. The only sounds were the flowing river and birds chirping in the trees. There were no houses nearby.

After parking their bikes, they walked to the riverbank.

Looking at the flowing water, Harsh suddenly screamed as loudly as he could.

Mayur placed a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't be so angry, Harsh. Work harder for the next exam. You'll definitely come first."

Harsh shook his head.

"You both have no idea what I'm going through. Today, because of Sreesha, I've completely lost the desire to live."

Deep and Mayur looked at each other in surprise.

"What happened? Tell us, brother."

Harsh finally revealed the truth.

"Last night my father told me that if I didn't secure the first rank today, I shouldn't even come back home. My parents had a huge fight because of me. My rank decides whether there will be peace or conflict in my house. I'm under constant pressure. I can't sleep at night. Today there will be another huge argument between my parents because I failed."

Both friends tried their best to comfort him, but Harsh's anger and fear remained unchanged.

After some time, both friends dropped Harsh near his house. Before leaving, they told him to stay calm and not to overthink the situation. Then, they headed to their respective homes.

Harsh rang the doorbell. The family maid opened the door.

He had expected his father to return only in the evening, but he knew his mother would usually be home. He asked the maid where she was.

"Madam has gone out for some work," the maid replied. "She'll be back in about an hour."

Harsh felt relieved and walked toward his room upstairs.

Before he reached his room, the maid reminded him, "Harsh beta, lunch is ready. Freshen up and come eat."

He nodded.

A few steps later, he called out again.

"Aunty, I'm not hungry right now. I'll eat after some time."

The maid replied, "I have some urgent work in the neighboring village today. I've already informed your mother. If you eat now, I'll finish cleaning the kitchen and then leave."

Harsh knew she rarely ever took leave and always cared for him like family.

"Alright, Aunty," he said. "I'll freshen up and come downstairs in ten minutes."

"Okay," she smiled. "I'll finish the remaining household work."

Half an hour passed.

Harsh never came downstairs.

The maid called his name several times, but there was no response.

Just then, the doorbell rang. Her husband had arrived to pick her up.

She called Harsh one last time.

Still, there was no answer.

Worried, she called Harsh's mother.

His mother told her, "Lock the main door from outside and leave. I'll be home soon."

The maid did as instructed and left.

Nearly two hours later, Harsh's mother returned home. She unlocked the door with her key and entered the house.

After freshening up, she went upstairs to Harsh's room.

The moment she opened the door, a terrifying scream echoed through the house.

The entire room was covered in blood.

Harsh lay on the floor, bleeding heavily from his head. Seeing the horrifying scene, Harsh's mother screamed in shock. Unable to bear what she had witnessed, she lost consciousness and collapsed to the floor beside him.

What had happened to Harsh?

Who was responsible for this horrifying incident?

And what happened to Sreesha?
