Jessica, une adolescente totalement normale, voit sa vie basculer du jour au lendemain, à cause d'un malheureux accident dont elle n'e garde aucun souvenir. Poursuivie par ses démons, elle pensait avoir tout perdu, ce qui est en partie vrai : de ses amies à son copain de l'époque, personne ne supportait de voir la nouvelles personne qu'elle était devenue, plus sombre, plus triste. Convaincue qu'elle n'apportait rien au monde, elle trouvait son refuge dans sa passion de toujours, la composition et la chanson, même si c'est devenu beaucoup plus compliqué à cause de son accident. Jusqu'à ce qu'elle rencontre la personne qui va la faire changer d'avis sur elle-même, ou du moins, qui va essayer.
La première chose que je vis en me réveillant fut le noir complet. Paniquée, je tournai la tête et vers une personne qui me tenait la main.
"Mpffff" dis-je.
"Oh mon dieu elle s'est réveillée" dit-elle "Ma Jessie tu es réveillée. Je suis là ne inquiète pas. J'ai prévenu ton père, il devrait arriver d'une minute à l'autre."
"Maman?!"
"Oui ma puce?"
"Je ne vois plus rien! Qu'est-ce qu'il s'est passé?"
"Quoi? Comment ça tu ne vois rien? "
