The Girl Everyone Forgot
The next morning , Sunlight Streamed through the curtains.
Han Seo -ah woke up with a pounding headache, the memory of mysterious flower path still lingering in her mind.
It was just a dream...." she whispered.
Ay least, that's what she wanted to believe.
She got dressed , grabbed her backpack, and rushed to the university.
The campus buzzed with laughter and Conversation , students hurried to class while chery blossom petals drifted though the air.
Everything looked normal.
until she smiled at her best friend.
"yuna!"
The girl walked past her.
seo-ah blinked.
"yuna"?
she grabbed her friend's arm, the girl flinched and stared a her with confusion .
"....do i know you?"
seo-ah laughed nervously,
"stop joking."
"i'm sorry ," the girl replied politely."i think you have the wrong person."
Her heart skipped a beat.
No.
This wasn't funny.
she ran to anpther classmate.
Then another.
Each of them looked at her with the same expression .
As if she had never existed.
Her breathing became uneven.
she pulled out her phone.
Every photo with her friends had changed.
she was gone.
Not cropped.
Not Edited.
Gone.
As though she had never stood beside them.
"No..."
she searched her mother's contact.
it was still there.
with trembling fingers,sge called.
" Hello?" her mother answered.
"M-Mom...it's me."
A pause.
"i'm sorry....who is this?"
seo-ah felt the world spin.
The phone slipped from her hand.
she wasn't just being forgotten.
she was being erased.
A familiar voice echoed behind her.
"i warned you."
she turned.
kang minjae stood beneath the cherry blossom tree, hands in his pockets , his expression unreadable.
"The fading has begun."
"what's ....hapenning to me?" she whispered.
min-jae looked toward the distant white flpwer path that only two of them could see.
"From this moment on...."
"....you're no longer living in reality."
The wind carried white petals across the silent campus.
And somewhere beyond the trees....
Something was waiting.
