Chapter 1

Introduction

Tír na nÓg

Tír na nÓg is an ancient realm blessed by the Divine, where four great dominions stand beneath the rule of four Lords, each entrusted with a sacred power. Every dominion is home to its own race, traditions, and magic, bound together by fragile alliances and centuries of rivalry.

The South – Dominion of the High Elves

The South is ruled by the High Elves, celestial descendants gifted with divine magic and extraordinary mastery of the arcane. Their lands are peaceful, filled with sacred forests, floating temples, and crystal rivers. Wisdom, balance, and spiritual enlightenment guide their rule, and the greatest mages and healers are born within their kingdom.

The North – Dominion of the Dark Elves

The North belongs to the Dark Elves, masters of shadow and ruin. Feared across the realm for their ruthless strength and commanding nature, they wield darkness as both weapon and shield. Though harsh and unforgiving, they govern with strict justice. They are the eternal wardens of the ancient dungeons and prisons, where the realm’s most dangerous creatures and forgotten evils are sealed away.

The East – Dominion of the Moonwave Elves

The eastern lands are ruled by the Moonwave Elves, legendary warriors blessed by the moon itself. Every child is trained from birth in combat, stealth, and discipline. They possess the rare gift of invisibility, allowing them to move unseen across battlefields. Swift, loyal, and fiercely protective, they serve as the realm’s finest scouts, assassins, and defenders.

The West – Dominion of the Werewolves

The West is governed by the Werewolf Clans, whose strength and resilience have made them both formidable warriors and prosperous traders. Their territories connect all four dominions through vast trade routes, making them the economic heart of Tír na nÓg. Honor, loyalty, and family are the foundation of their society, and their Alpha Lords command the respect of every neighboring kingdom.

Though each dominion follows its own customs and laws, all four are bound by an ancient Divine Covenant. As long as the balance between the four Lords remains unbroken, peace endures. But should one Lord seek dominion over the others, Tír na nÓg itself would descend into an age of war, where gods, monsters, and kingdoms alike would face annihilation.

Chapter One

The Eastern Border – Moonwave Dominion

The morning mist drifted through the towering silverwood trees as a royal carriage rolled steadily along the eastern road, leaving the Moonwave Dominion behind.

Inside sat fourteen-year-old Rayla, the only heir of Lord Estes. Dressed in a simple traveling tunic instead of noble attire, she gazed out the carriage window with quiet curiosity. This was her first journey beyond her homeland.

“My lady,” her maid said with a warm smile, parting the curtain. “We’re nearing the Silver River. Look.”

Rayla leaned closer to the window. The river shimmered beneath the morning sun like liquid crystal, winding through emerald valleys and flowering meadows.

“It’s beautiful,” she whispered in awe. “Just as the stories of the South describe.”

She reached for her long silver hair and began weaving it into neat warrior braids.

“My lady, allow me,” the maid offered, moving to help.

Rayla shook her head with a gentle smile.

“It’s all right. For the next three months, I’ll have to do everything myself. I should start now.”

The maid smiled proudly and settled back into her seat.

Hours later, the lush forests gradually disappeared.

The emerald fields gave way to barren plains where the earth lay cracked beneath the blazing sun. Ancient trees became scarce, replaced by scattered stone formations weathered by time. The cool breeze of the East faded into warm, dry air.

Rayla pressed her hand against the carriage window, watching the unfamiliar landscape unfold before her.

“So this…” she murmured, “…is the South.”

It looked nothing like the peaceful paradise described in Moonwave tales.

Yet somewhere beyond those vast wastelands stood the legendary Academy of the High Fae—where the future rulers of Tír na nÓg forged alliances, mastered ancient magic, and learned to govern the realm.

For the first time in her life, Rayla felt both excitement and uncertainty.

She had crossed the border.

There was no turning back.

Southern Border – High Fae Dominion

The Royal Castle

Morning sunlight poured through the towering crystal windows of the High Fae palace, bathing the marble halls in a soft golden glow.

Prince Sylvan, fifteen years old and heir to the Southern Dominion, adjusted the cuffs of his ceremonial jacket before fastening the silver cloak embroidered with his family’s celestial crest.

“I wish I could go with you, Sylvan,” his younger brother said, unable to hide the envy in his voice.

Sylvan turned and smiled warmly.

“You will… one day.” He placed a reassuring hand on the boy’s shoulder. “But until then, you have an important duty.”

Cian tilted his head.

“What duty?”

“Take care of the castle while I’m away.”

Sylvan gently ruffled his younger brother’s silver hair before turning toward the palace doors.

“I’ll be counting on you.”

Cian straightened his posture proudly and nodded. “Leave it to me.”

A laugh escaped Sylvan as he stepped outside into the palace courtyard.

His long silver hair flowed gracefully behind him in the morning breeze. Delicate yet striking features marked him unmistakably as High Fae royalty, while brilliant sapphire-blue eyes shone with excitement for the journey ahead.

The vast courtyard buzzed with preparations. Knights, attendants, and royal mages stood aside, all eyes fixed on the magnificent creature waiting at the center.

A celestial dragon.

Its enormous ivory scales shimmered beneath the sunlight with faint traces of gold. Massive wings stretched outward, stirring powerful gusts across the courtyard as it lowered its head in recognition of its rider.

Sylvan’s smile widened.

“Ready for another adventure, Aurelia?” he asked, resting a hand against the dragon’s warm scales.

The dragon answered with a deep, resonant rumble before spreading its wings.

Today was no ordinary journey.

For the first time, the heirs of the Four Dominions would gather beneath one roof, where friendships, rivalries, and destinies would begin to intertwine.

The Academy of the Four Dominions stood at the heart of Tír na nÓg, where the borders of the realms met. Towering white stone walls surrounded the sprawling grounds, while banners of the East, South, North, and West fluttered proudly in the breeze.

At the grand entrance, rows of royal guards and archmages stood in perfect formation beside the academy’s masters and instructors, awaiting the arrival of the new heirs.

A silver carriage bearing the crest of the Moonwave Dominion rolled to a halt.

The carriage door opened.

Princess Rayla stepped gracefully onto the stone path. Her long silver hair was woven into neat warrior braids, and her emerald-green eyes glowed faintly as she surveyed the academy that would become her home for the next three months.

She walked confidently toward the waiting elders before offering a respectful bow.

“I am Princess Rayla of the Eastern Moonwave Dominion, daughter of Lord Estes. I have come to receive guidance from the greatest mages and warriors of Tír na nÓg, so that I may one day protect our realm and honor my people. I pledge my loyalty to the Academy.”

The elderly Headmaster smiled with approval.

“Welcome, Princess Rayla. May your time here strengthen both your heart and your blade.”

Before another word could be spoken, a deafening roar echoed across the sky.

The ground trembled.

Students and attendants instinctively looked upward as an enormous celestial dragon descended from the clouds. Its radiant white scales gleamed beneath the sun as its powerful wings stirred the air, sending leaves swirling across the courtyard.

With effortless grace, the dragon landed before the academy gates.

A silver-haired boy stepped down from its back.

His sapphire-blue eyes carried both confidence and kindness as he approached the Headmaster. Stopping beside Rayla, he placed a hand over his heart and bowed.

“I am Crown Prince Sylvan of the Southern High Fae Dominion, eldest son of His Majesty King Osian. I have come to study under the realm’s most respected teachers and to prepare myself for the responsibilities of the crown.”

The Headmaster welcomed him before turning to the two young royals.

“Princess Rayla of the East… Crown Prince Sylvan of the South.”

He smiled knowingly.

“May I introduce you to one another. I have no doubt this is the beginning of a memorable friendship.”

Sylvan turned toward Rayla.

For a brief moment, their eyes met.

A warm smile spread across his face.

“Indeed, the people of the East truly carry the scent of forests and ancient trees. It is a pleasure to meet you, Princess.”

Rayla returned the smile with a graceful nod.

“And the people of the South are every bit as beautiful as the Crystal River the stories speak of.”

Her gaze drifted toward the magnificent dragon resting behind him.

“It is an honor to meet you, Prince Sylvan… and I must say, your choice of transportation is rather impressive.”

Sylvan laughed softly.

“Then after our training is complete, perhaps I’ll let you ride her.”

Rayla placed a hand over her heart and bowed once more.

“That would be a great honor, Prince Sylvan.”

Neither of them noticed the curious smiles exchanged by the instructors.

The heirs of the East and South had met .
