The rain hammered against the rooftop as thunder shook the sky.it was one of those nights where the silence felt wrong-too heavy,too still
Then the owls began to howl
A shodow stepped out of the darkness, followed by another.their faces remaimed hidden as they moved between the streets.moments later,the silence was shattered.
Bodies lay scattered across the ground.
One of the shadowy figureslooked around before speaking.
"It's done.we can go."
Without another word,they disappeared into the darkness leaving nothing behind but fear.
The next morning,every television channel carried the same shocking report.
"Breaking news.multiple people were found murdered overnight police believe the attack may be connected to the notorious Sanchez family.while no evidence has confirmed involvement, investigators say the remains the primary suspect."
Across town a teenage girl watched the reporter from her living room. She let out a nervous laugh.
"A mafia?Those only exist in movies."
She switched off the Tv, convinced it was nothing more than another dramatic news story.
She had no idea that someone was watching her from out side.
To them,she wasn't just another face.
She was the next target.
