brown water rushing river white

foam crashes sand yellowbrown gold

ellipses kiss a sentence once or twice

the silence we fall into so sweet like

honeyed leaves redyellowbrown piles

sweeping starry broom of tunes and whistles

and random exclamations "look: a lizard,";

i smell coffee when you open your mouth

not unpleasant but like a water cooler when

you've been at the desk too long

suffering blinding ancient sicknesses

of stagnation? loving you, as if i could?

funny ideas sick bitter tricks with whistles

can make you think you're hearing two notes

but it's all in the posturing tongue

and brown water washes my posturing tongue and

coffee and something fruitsweet and human

maybe ape in a redbrown way, ancient, ticklish
