Chapter 1
Introduction
Tír na nÓg
Tír na nÓg is an ancient realm blessed by the Divine, where four great dominions stand beneath the rule of four Lords, each entrusted with a sacred power. Every dominion is home to its own race, traditions, and magic, bound together by fragile alliances and centuries of rivalry.
The South – Dominion of the High Elves
The South is ruled by the High Elves, celestial descendants gifted with divine magic and extraordinary mastery of the arcane. Their lands are peaceful, filled with sacred forests, floating temples, and crystal rivers. Wisdom, balance, and spiritual enlightenment guide their rule, and the greatest mages and healers are born within their kingdom.
The North – Dominion of the Dark Elves
The North belongs to the Dark Elves, masters of shadow and ruin. Feared across the realm for their ruthless strength and commanding nature, they wield darkness as both weapon and shield. Though harsh and unforgiving, they govern with strict justice. They are the eternal wardens of the ancient dungeons and prisons, where the realm’s most dangerous creatures and forgotten evils are sealed away.
The East – Dominion of the Moonwave Elves
The eastern lands are ruled by the Moonwave Elves, legendary warriors blessed by the moon itself. Every child is trained from birth in combat, stealth, and discipline. They possess the rare gift of invisibility, allowing them to move unseen across battlefields. Swift, loyal, and fiercely protective, they serve as the realm’s finest scouts, assassins, and defenders.
The West – Dominion of the Werewolves
The West is governed by the Werewolf Clans, whose strength and resilience have made them both formidable warriors and prosperous traders. Their territories connect all four dominions through vast trade routes, making them the economic heart of Tír na nÓg. Honor, loyalty, and family are the foundation of their society, and their Alpha Lords command the respect of every neighboring kingdom.
Though each dominion follows its own customs and laws, all four are bound by an ancient Divine Covenant. As long as the balance between the four Lords remains unbroken, peace endures. But should one Lord seek dominion over the others, Tír na nÓg itself would descend into an age of war, where gods, monsters, and kingdoms alike would face annihilation.
chapter one
Western Dominion
Zaiper could still remember the day his childhood changed forever. He had only been six years old when his father informed him that he would be leaving the Western Dominion to study in the Southern Dominion. While other children spent their days chasing each other through forests and learning swordplay beneath their parents’ watchful eyes, he was being sent hundreds of miles away to master magic. The thought alone made his tiny chest tighten. He would have to leave behind his mother, his little sister, and the only home he had ever known.
His mother knelt before him with a warm smile, gently smoothing his dark hair. “Don’t worry, my little star,” she whispered. “I will come to see you every other day. You’ll never be alone for long.”
Before Zaiper could answer, his father’s deep voice interrupted. “Don’t make me repeat myself, Zaiper. You will behave properly, obey your teachers, and most importantly, try to become friends with Prince Sylvan. He is the most spiritually gifted child born to King Osian.”
Young Zaiper blinked in confusion. “Father… what is a spiritual born?”
His father sat beside him, his usually stern expression softening. “Long ago, our ancestors stained the name of the Dark Elves by practicing forbidden magic. Darkness consumed them until your great-grandfather rose against his own people. He hunted down every practitioner of dark magic and spared only those who abandoned it. Since then, our people have rebuilt our honor through discipline, justice, and wisdom. Our magic is powerful enough to reveal lies and uncover truth, which is why the Judiciary of all four dominions belongs to us.”
He paused before continuing.
“But the Southern Dominion has always stood above every race in matters of spirituality. The Fae are born unable to lie. Their connection to magic is pure, untouched by corruption. They are the guardians of the High Temple and the oldest keepers of divine knowledge. That is why they are called the Spiritual Born.”
Zaiper listened with shining eyes, absorbing every word as if it were the greatest story ever told.
“Then…” he said, clenching his tiny fists with determination, “I want to become one too.”
His father laughed quietly before resting a hand on his son’s head.
“You cannot become Fae, Zaiper.”
The little boy frowned.
“But,” his father continued, pride creeping into his voice, “you can become a Dark Elf worthy enough that even the Spiritual Born call you their friend.”
At that moment, without realizing it, Zaiper made himself a promise.
One day, he would earn the respect of the Southern Dominion… and he would become Prince Sylvan’s very first friend.
When Zaiper arrived at the elementary academy in the Southern Dominion, his eyes widened in fascination. Everything was different from home. The halls were built from white marble that shimmered beneath the sunlight, gardens bloomed with flowers he had never seen before, and every person seemed impossibly beautiful. Their skin was pale and flawless, their silver or golden hair neatly braided, and they all wore flowing white robes. They spoke softly, walked gracefully, and carried themselves with a calmness that made Zaiper wonder if they were even real at all.
His mother smiled reassuringly before handing him over to one of the teachers. “Be brave,” she whispered, kissing his forehead. “I’ll see you soon.”
The teacher guided him into the classroom where dozens of young students were already waiting. Zaiper’s excitement lasted only a few moments.
Several children stared at him in fear.
One little girl burst into tears.
“He’s a beast…”
“Why is a Dark Elf here?”
“I don’t want to sit near him.”
The teacher immediately tried to calm the frightened children, but their frightened whispers spread across the room. Zaiper stood frozen, clutching the straps of his little satchel, unsure of what he had done wrong.
Only one child remained unfazed.
A silver-haired boy with neatly tied long hair and kind blue eyes calmly shifted on the bench, creating space beside him.
“Come sit here,” he said gently.
Still confused by everyone’s reaction, Zaiper hesitated before taking small, careful steps toward him. As soon as he sat down, the silver-haired boy smiled politely.
“I’m Prince Sylvan,” he introduced himself. “And you?”
“Prince Zaiper,” he answered, instantly feeling a little happier. His father had told him to become friends with Prince Sylvan, and somehow, on his very first day, he had found him.
Before either of them could continue talking, the lesson began. The teacher started introducing the names of basic magical elements, and the classroom fell silent.
