The Blessing Called Marriage - Chapter 1
The Love Allah Wrote, Before we searched for love, Allah had already written it. Before two hearts met, He knew their story.
And before this world began, He taught us that true love begins not with another soul—but with Him.
When Adam was lonely, Allah created one, not two. He created Hawwa from Adam’s side—not from his head to be above him, nor from his feet to be below him, but from his side, close to his heart, to stand as his companion and soulmate.
The Qur’an beautifully speaks about marriage:
“They are clothing for you, and you are clothing for them.” (Qur’an 2:187)
A garment might not always fit perfectly, but it covers imperfections, protects, and beautifies. True love is like that—selfless, protective, and unconditional.
If you love someone, be committed to them.
The Qur’an also reminds us of justice in marriage:
“If you fear you might fail to give orphan women their due rights, then marry those who are good for you—two, three, or four. But if you fear you will not be just, then marry only one.” (Qur’an 4:3)
This verse was revealed at a time when many men had fallen in battle, leaving widows behind.
Did you know Hawa was created from Adam’s left rib?
Every woman is made from the left rib of a man, close to his heart. That’s why when you see her, your heart beats faster—because she’s a part of you.
Some men may dream of having four wives, but they need to reflect carefully. Think of Fatima (RA) and how much she loved Ali (RA) - she couldn’t even imagine him marrying another woman.
What if your wife feels the same?
Brothers, be mindful of your words.
Sisters, feeling jealous about the houris in Paradise?
Guess what? The women of Paradise are far superior to the houris!
The women of Jannah will be even more beautiful because they’ve earned their place through struggle and righteousness, not just by creation.
If your heart burns with jealousy when thinking of the houris, remember this:
Allah can make the impossible happen.
Make dua, and trust in His wisdom.
Your spouse is a blessing from Allah.
Allah says ;
“And among His signs is this: that He created for you mates from among yourselves so that you may find tranquility in them, and He has placed between you affection and mercy.” (Qur’an 30:21)
So appreciate, respect, and support each other.
Your spouse is your partner in this life and, by Allah’s mercy, in the Hereafter.
Remember: Allah has already written the names of your spouses for you.
What you need to focus on is your relationship with Him.
When you’re ready, He will send your spouse to you.
In Jannah, you’ll receive all that your heart desires.
But Jannah is attained by striving for it here.
Health and free time to do good are two blessings many of us overlook.
The key to success?
Love Allah more than anything else.
He created you, gave you everything, and only by His mercy will you enter Jannah, where you can be with your spouse forever.
Jannah isn’t easy to attain—it requires sincere devotion and obedience to Allah.
So focus on pleasing Him first, and ask Him for His mercy and forgiveness.
The best way to learn how to love Allah and His creation?
Read the Qur’an, reflect upon it, and live by its teachings. 📖✨
Look to the noble companions, such as Fatima (RA) and Ali (RA), who embodied love, loyalty, and piety.
By following their example, we strengthen both our faith and our relationships.
Never forget:
This world is a test.
Our ultimate purpose is to worship Allah and seek His pleasure.
“And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.” (Qur’an 51:56)
Don’t let the distractions of this world take you away from your true purpose.
Always prioritize your relationship with Allah.
May Allah guide you and your spouse to His obedience and pleasure, and grant you happiness in this life and the Hereafter.
