Victoria y Odessa tienen una tradición: cada domingo se reúnen para debatir el libro que eligieron durante la semana. Hasta que un accidente las despierta dentro de su peor lectura. Ahora están atrapadas en un reino de magia, nobleza e intrigas políticas, interpretando el papel de personajes destinados a morir mucho antes del final. Lo peor es que conocen la historia. Saben quién traicionará, quién caerá y qué acontecimientos deberían conducirlos al desenlace. O, al menos, eso creían. Porque la historia está cambiando. Escenas que nunca existieron aparecen ante sus ojos. Personajes comienzan a actuar de formas que jamás hicieron en el libro y una antigua reliquia, que ni siquiera figuraba en sus páginas, parece estar alterando los acontecimientos. Victoria y Odessa solo quieren encontrar una forma de regresar a casa. Pero cuanto más intentan corregir la historia, más descubren que quizá nunca estuvieron destinadas a seguir el papel que les fue asignado. Porque cuando conoces el final de una historia, cambiarlo parece sencillo. Hasta que la historia decide cambiarte a ti. Las magnolias nunca olvidan.
