Summary
“You underestimate me, Felix. You all do.” He hissed, body coiled like a spring ready to pounce. His feet moved towards me, soundless and smooth. My heart was the only thing I could hear, pounding away at my ribs so that it may escape my chest and land between his teeth. I blinked and suddenly he was there. Right there. Where my blood pulsed in my neck. His hand cradled my scalp, his breath cold against my skin.
“But do you truly think, in this world or the next, there exists a force strong enough to keep you away from me?”
When Felix Mayhem gets caught in a deadly storm, driving home for the summer, he takes a detour into the unassuming and familiar Moonwood Forest. However, Felix quickly realizes his mistake when he encounters a wendigo, one of the many dangers that lurk beneath the ancient trees. After being rescued by three mysterious brothers, Felix believes what he saw may have just been a dream. But as tensions grow among the brothers and Felix learns about their bloodsucking nature, it becomes clear that ancient rules are the only obstacles standing in the way of what the brothers truly desire most: Felix.
Trapped in an unforgiven forest, Felix must learn how to survive the violent appetites of the brothers or risk an eternal death.
