Prologue: Feather🦢✨

They say swans are symbols of gentleness.

Pure. Beautiful. Calm.

Creatures that glide across still waters without disturbing a single ripple.

At least, that is what people choose to believe.

They never imagined that a swan could also hide a storm.

✦ ✦ ✦

That night, the sky brought no rain.

No thunder.

No warning.

Only a single black feather fell from the darkness above.

It drifted slowly through the silent air, spinning with the wind as though it carried a secret of its own.

Down.

Down.

Until it landed in the middle of an empty road.

The city slept.

Streetlights flickered.

Somewhere in the distance, a dog began to bark, then fell strangely silent.

The world moved on, unaware that something had changed.

No one noticed the feather.

Except for one person.

A hooded figure stood within the shadows.

Motionless.

Watching.

Their eyes followed the feather without blinking, as if that tiny object marked the beginning of something long awaited.

Or perhaps...

Something that should never have awakened.

The wind stirred.

The feather trembled.

For a brief moment, a strange symbol appeared beneath it.

A swan.

Dark as midnight.

For a heartbeat, a dark symbol spread beneath the feather like ink across water.

Gone before anyone else could see.

The figure smiled.

A small smile.

The kind that appears when a long game finally begins.

And then the feather vanished.

As though it had never existed.

✦ ✦ ✦

In the days that followed, stories began to spread.

Whispers.

Rumors.

Questions with no answers.

The same symbol appeared in impossible places.

On forgotten walls.

Inside locked rooms.

In dreams that felt far too real.

A swan.

Some called it a legend.

Others saw it as a threat.

And some believed it was nothing more than a fairy tale.

But they all made the same mistake.

They only saw the feather.

Never the storm hidden beneath its wings.

And when they finally discover who Secret Swan truly is...

There will be no turning back.

Ku_Rolet: The novel was good, and I really enjoyed reading it. I love the leads and their bond, but I have one question that confused me. How could Tristan have been dreaming about his mate since he was a child if Omara was already mated to someone else before him? If Kyle had accepted Omara, would Tristan ne...
