Prologue
There are stories every university tells its freshmen—stories meant to scare them away from abandoned buildings, dark hallways, and forgotten places. At Blackwood University, there was only one story everyone believed.
Room 306.
No one knew exactly what had happened there twenty years ago. Some claimed six students vanished without a trace. Others believed they were found dead with expressions of absolute terror frozen on their faces. The university erased every record of the incident, locked the room forever, and warned students to stay away.
Yet every year, someone ignored the warning.
Those who entered Room 306 all reported hearing the same whisper echo through the darkness.
“Don’t look behind you.”
Some listened.
Some didn’t.
None of them were ever the same again.
