Summary

Dear Reader, Before you turn the first page, there's something I'd like to tell you. This isn't a memoir about extraordinary success. You won't find a superhero here. You won't find someone who always made the right decisions or had life completely figured out. What you'll find instead... ...is me. Just a normal guy trying to make sense of life one year at a time. These pages hold my memories, my embarrassing moments, my biggest laughs, my quiet struggles, my dreams and the little stories that somehow shaped the person I am today. Some chapters will probably make you laugh. A few might surprise you. Others may feel strangely familiar. If you're wondering whether every story here is true... So, Yes. Some are funny enough to sound made up. Unfortunately for me... They actually happened. I didn't write this book to prove anything. I wrote it because memories fade, people change and one day I wanted to remember who I was during the first twenty one years of my life. Maybe you're reading this because you're curious. Maybe someone shared it with you. Or maybe you simply stumbled across it by accident. Whatever brought you here... Welcome ๐Ÿซถ I hope that somewhere between these pages, you don't just get to know me... I hope you find a few pieces of yourself too. Now... Let's begin.

People know my name. Very few know the story behind it.

My official name is Muhammad Saad the one you'll find on every legal document. As for my surname or caste, I've never been too attached to it. It has never felt like the thing that defines me. If you ask me what I'd like to be called, the answer is simple:

"Saad"

That's enough.

Every important chapter of my life has been written under that name. Every achievement, every mistake, every laugh, every difficult day and every happy memory.

My mother chose this name for me, which makes it even more special.

I was born on January 27, 2005 on the second day of Eid-ul-Adha, at the Military Hospital in Rawalpindi Pakistan. According to my family, it was a freezing winter morning with heavy rain pouring outside, while relatives waited at the hospital to welcome me into the world.

My arrival however wasn't an easy one.

My mother became seriously ill after my birth, so much of my early care came from my maternal grandmother whom I lovingly call 'Ami'. She became one of the first people to shape my childhood.

And then there's one story that never fails to make me laugh.

Since my mother couldn't feed me during those first days, I grew up drinking goat's milk instead.

The meaning of the name Saad is often described as "a virtuous or good person." Ironically, people usually assume I'm extremely innocent just by looking at me.

Well...

My face may look innocent.

But my brain is usually busy creating chaos, thinking of ridiculous jokes, teasing people I like and turning completely normal situations into comedy scenes.

One thing I've realized over the years is that I can adapt to almost any group of people. Different circles, different personalities and different environments. I somehow find a way to fit in.

Understanding people has never been difficult for me.

Being understood...

That's a completely different story.

Sometimes I genuinely feel like I'm the only person who truly knows who I am. Everyone else only gets a version of me.

If I had to describe myself in one sentence, it would probably be this:

"I'm still trying to figure myself out... so I don't blame anyone else for finding me confusing."

Let Saad know what you thought about this chapter!
