Zoey: So let me get this straight we just go early to Emma's house at around 8 AM?
Zack: Yes! It will be the most amazing surprise party she ever had,and then we'll go to my house to open up some more gifts that I got y'all also there may be a surprise before going to my house for all three of y'all :]
Jamarcus: Guys I got terrible news
Zack: What is it?
Zoey: Is everything alright?
Jamarcus: Kinda,but my family is going to need me tomorrow I can't do the surprise party
Zoey: It's alright Jamarcus we can always just come by your house and drop off the gifts I'm sure your grandparents won't mind
Zack: Agreed
Jamarcus: Alright then that'll do Imma leave this group chat since it's not like I need it anymore

Zack: Damn
Zoey: What is it Zack?
Zack: We might have to go earlier since my mom will be back home around 8 AM and wants me to go to our grandma's house. Does 6 AM sound good?
Zoey: Come on Zack that's way too early
Zack: Yea but I mean our favorite place will be open the Royal Cafe and we can get some hot chocolate and also pastries
Zoey: How dare you use my weakness against me,you know I love their drinks and sweets
Zack: Yea I know you do ;)
Zoey: Fine let's do it then during that time either way my mom has to leave for work at 5 AM,but imma sleep now gn
Zack: Goodnight Zoey
I looked excitedly at the three gifts on my nightstand, one being purple for Zoey,one being gold for Emma,and one being red for Jamarcus. I really hoped they liked them, for Zoey I got her a moonstone necklace from a flea market cause she kept on saying how she didn't want an expensive gift. I laughed slightly at the thought of her remembering whenever she threatened not to be my friend anymore if I got her something expensive. For Jamarcus I got him a Jared watch that was red and silver, his favorite colors.
Lastly for Emma I got her a beautiful floating garnet heart that had gold rim from Anagra. I smiled at the thought of Emma being very happy as she hugged me tightly wrapping her legs around my waist as I held her up and her giving me kisses. I sighed softly, my eyes feeling heavy. I quickly set an alarm for 5:30 AM tomorrow and went to bed.
I dreamed that night an odd dream a woman in a purple velvet coat looking at my friends Jamarcus, Emma and Zoey I thought it was odd as she seemed to be whispering to them before I got there as there was a room being lit up by candles that were white and pink, but whenever she sensed my presence she instantly hid herself and my friends as I tried to run up to them it was too late they were gone and so was the candle light that once illuminated the room. I was in complete and utter darkness with the sounds of trees creaking and the sound of snow crunching beneath my feet, but I knew I wasn't alone as I heard a voice which I assumed was the lady in the purple velvet cloak from before say "It's almost time, the end is here,but so is a new beginning" The light feminine voice said as I tried to find my out of the darkness and to a light I saw right on my left side as I ran her voice gotten louder. "Don't run from the truth, face it or there are dire consequences". I thought to myself 'What the hell is she talking about?! What is the truth? What consequences? As I ran I finally got to the white light, but it didn't seem like a light now but rather something else as I tried to see what it was,my eyes caught sight of something in the air. I saw the woman in the purple velvet cloak again suddenly in the air as she spoke, saying again "Running from the truth leads to dire consequences". I felt a sudden pain in my whole body as I jolted in the dream.
BEEP BEEP BEEP I woke up panting hard and checking my body for any injuries as the dream felt too real, but there was nothing wrong with me. BEEP BEEP BEEP BEE- I turned off my alarm and got out of bed and looked outside seeing how it snowed a lot. As it seemed I had calmed down I remembered what day it was as I smiled softly as Emma came to my mind. Her skin was fair and soft, her skin pale with freckles and beauty marks on her back that reminded me of the constellation,and how she loved the snow. I quickly went and got dressed in a grey turtleneck sweater with black slacks on, and charcoal grey winter coat, and black boots so I could pick Zoey up from her apartment. I grabbed the three gifts off of my nightstand, put them inside my winter coats pocket and got into my BMW latest model car.
As I drove to Zoey's house I felt something was off, but I shook it off. I was probably still paranoid about the whole dream. Once I was there at Zoey's apartment building I got out, being careful to not trip or fall due to the ice. Luckily her apartment was on the first floor. I knocked on the door as a loud yell came out through the door "WHO IS IT?" In reply I yelled back "POLICE,OPEN UP!" . I smirked as I heard her annoyed groan as she finally unlocked and opened the door wearing all black like always, a black AC/DC shirt, with black sweatpants and black converse shoes. "I knew it was you idiot" she said huffing "If you did know it was me,then why even ask who it was?" I said being a smartass which made her flustered as she punched my arm.
I laughed as I looked at her "Come on don't hit me it's christmas" I said in a fake hurt tone,she rolled her eyes. "Fine as long as you pay for my drink and pastry at Royal Cafe" Zoey said as I rolled my eyes "You my friend are the devil" I said to her as she laughed and made her way to my car as I followed suit getting into the drivers side. "I got a surprise for you by the way Zoe" I said knowing she hated whenever I called her that,she rolled her eyes "What is it?" she asked as she looked at me. I took out the purple wrapped gift box from one of my coats pockets and handed it to her "Zack I swear to god if it's-". I cut her off already knowing what she was going to say "It's not expensive trust me I got it at a flea market for under five dollars" I said.
She looked surprised but regained her composure as she opened it seeing how in the small box it held a gray moonstone crystal necklace. "I know its meaning and what it helps with so I thought you might want it since you like crystals,stones and witchcraft stuff" I said to her seeing how she smiled softly and put it on. "Thanks Zack I really do love it". She said as I couldn't help but smile as I said "You're welcome", before turning to face the road as I drove. Only five minutes into the ride and Zoey had fallen asleep. I smirked as I wanted to get back at her for punching me so I turned the AC to cold and rolled down the windows as snow had fallen on her a bit and the cold air brushed her hair and skin. "ZACK!" Zoey yelled out having to wake up from her nap as I laughed.
She unbuckled her belt trying to get me as I quickly turned and parked the car making her go back into her seat as she fumed with more anger. "Zack, I swear to God!" she said as I rolled my eyes and got out of the car "Not now Zoey we're here at Emma's house and right on time too" I said as I closed the drivers door and walked to her side and opened the passengers side door for her to get out. "Ugh fine but you're definitely going to pay later" she said as we then walked up to Emma's house luckily I already had a key that Emma gave to me on our 2 year anniversary and unlocked the door.
I carefully and quietly closed the door with Zoey. We quietly made our way up the spiral staircase. I heard Emma's voice and it sounded like she was talking to someone? I went up the stairs more until we got to her room as we did. I noticed her door was a little bit cracked and heard another voice,it was my friend Jamarcus? I was very confused. He said he couldn't make it today yet here he was? I looked at Zoey and she seemed concerned and confused as I leaned towards the crack to hear better. "I just don't know Jamarcus this is all very sudden I believe you because I had the same experience but-" Emma said softly to Jamarcus "Then please understand where I'm coming from, Emma I love you" Jamarcus said. I opened the door enraged, hoping this was just a joke,but as I did I saw Jamarcus and Emma kissing and I froze a knot in my stomach. I felt very sick to my stomach ... .My girlfriend and best guy friend were kissing now right in front of me and Emma didn't even push him away.
Jamarcus and Emma looked at me in shock and horror "Z-Zack I can explain" said Emma I looked at her in disgust,a lot of emotions racing through me with anger and hurt from this sudden scene. "I don't need an explanation I've seen and heard enough" I said as I looked at Jamarcus and then back to Emma as Zoey came in right behind me. "Zack please I didn't know it would-" Emma was soon cut off by Zoey "Bullshit you knew what you were doing and all that,how could you? And with his own guy best friend too!? You're
his girlfriend for fuck's sake!!" yelled Zoey as Emma was in tears.
I almost cried really wishing this was not true,but I knew I shouldn't cry. It never solves anything so I looked at Emma and Jamarcus as I pulled their gifts out from my coat pocket. "Here's y'all's gift,we're done." I said coldly as I threw their gifts to them Emma's fell on her bed as Jamarcus's gift fell to the ground as you could hear a bit of glass breaking from inside it as Jamarcus bent down to pick it up I quickly turned around and left the room hurriedly making my way down the spiral staircase as Zoey followed behind me I couldn't hear her or anything or anyone I was too angry.
I was outside walking to my side of the car. Whenever I was looking down I thought I heard Zoey scream out my name and as I turned around to try to look at her I noticed a car right in front of me. Before I could react it was too late as it had hit me. I felt a big pang of pain hurt my body as I skidded on the road, getting road burns and flesh coming off. Everything felt off and weird as there were only some things I remembered before this happened.
There was a crash sound at first,then a thump followed by a loud scream....Then at last sounded like feathers falling on fresh snow,and lastly there was only darkness. Before I closed my eyes I saw Zoey sitting over me and felt a tear roll down to my cheek ... .I don't know if it was mine or Zoey's,but I didn't have time to know for then I felt nothing and saw only darkness.
