Prologue – The Weight of His Hair
The fluorescent tube overhead buzzed like a trapped insect, casting its uneven white light across the concrete and the two bodies locked beneath it. Tyler’s wrists were already secured high against the pull-up bar, the black sports band biting into the softer skin just above the bone, still damp from earlier use. His arms stretched the lines of his chest open, the broader planes of muscle pulled taut, smoother skin gleaming with the residual salt of a hard session. Every breath had to be taken carefully now. Cole’s forearm lay firm across the front of his throat—not crushing, only present, a warm, hairy weight that turned each inhale into a deliberate choice.
Cole stood flush against him from behind. The dense, coarse hair that covered his lean torso dragged in slow, grinding circles across the sweat-slick plane of Tyler’s back. The contrast was constant and inescapable: the rough, living texture of Cole’s body against the tighter, almost hairless heat of Tyler’s. Salt had begun to dry in fine white traces along the edges of Tyler’s shoulder blades; every shift of Cole’s chest scraped those traces into new patterns. The sound was soft, intimate—skin and hair and the faint wetness still left between them.
Cole’s free hand moved lower with the same unhurried precision. Fingers traced the sharp cut of hip, then the softer inner thigh, lingering where the residual chalk grit still clung. He did not close around the hard length that strained against the thin fabric of Tyler’s shorts. He only mapped the heat of it, the way the muscle jumped under the lightest pressure, the way Tyler’s breath hitched and then had to be forced back into the narrow channel Cole allowed.
“Breathe,” Cole murmured against the side of his neck, voice low enough that it was almost vibration rather than sound. The word itself became another restriction. Tyler tried to obey. The air that reached him was thin, rationed. His thighs trembled. The band around his wrists creaked once when his weight shifted.
Cole pressed closer. The full abrasive plane of his chest hair ground harder against Tyler’s spine, slow and deliberate, as if he meant to wear a new texture into the smoother skin. His forearm tightened a fraction across the throat. Tyler’s next inhale caught, shallow and desperate. A broken sound escaped before he could stop it—half protest, half something far more revealing. His knees softened. The fluorescent light flickered once, throwing their joined shadows long across the concrete.
The tremor in Tyler’s legs deepened. Cole’s hand on the inner thigh stilled, only the heat of his palm remaining, possession without mercy.
