Prologue – The Cage Closes
The weight of him was absolute.
Cole’s chest pressed Finn down into the narrow mattress, the dense, heat-radiating plane of muscle sealing the smaller body completely. One heavy arm locked across Finn’s back, forearm braced between the shoulder blades, pinning him so thoroughly that every breath had to be stolen against the unyielding surface of pectorals. The silver dog-tag chain was trapped between them, the cold links biting into the soft skin over Finn’s sternum with each slow, grinding thrust. The oversized black hoodie had been shoved high under Finn’s arms, bunched and useless, leaving the lighter torso bare to the scrape of Cole’s beard along the side of his throat.
Finn’s breath came short and uneven. The sheer bulk surrounding him left almost no room for expansion; every attempt to shift only made the hold tighten, the thick thigh between his own forcing his legs wider, the arm across his back becoming an iron bar. Cole moved with deliberate, crushing rhythm—deep, measured strokes that dragged against every sensitive place inside him, the dense weight of the older body never fully lifting, never giving space. The sound of it filled the low-ceilinged room: the wet slide of flesh, the soft, broken noises Finn could not keep behind his teeth, the low, controlled exhale of Cole against his ear.
“Nobody else,” Cole murmured, the words vibrating through the chest pressed to Finn’s. His free hand came up, large fingers closing around the back of Finn’s neck, forcing his head back until their eyes met in the dim light. The chain dug harder with the new angle. Cole’s thrusts slowed even further, becoming almost punishing in their depth, each one a claim rather than a search for release. Finn’s body answered anyway—tightening, trembling, the heat coiling low and inevitable despite the way shame and want still tangled behind his ribs.
Cole’s grip on his neck tightened. The next stroke buried him to the root and held, the full weight of muscle and possession settling heavier, stealing the last of Finn’s breath.
“Say it.” The command was raw, almost quiet. “Say you belong here.”
Finn’s body began to shake.
