Chapter 1 the question
The year was 3026.
One thousand years after Earth destroyed itself.
Humanity no longer lived on Earth. The last survivors had escaped aboard a massive, high-tech spacecraft and, after a long, dangerous journey through deep space, found a new home on a distant planet called Proxis.
For centuries, schools had taught the same story: humanity had survived, rebuilt civilization, and left the past behind.
But one question remained unanswered.
What really happened to Earth?
Sam stood alone on the observation platform outside the Academy, staring at the endless night sky. He had always felt that something was wrong with the history they had been taught.
"Earth was lost forever."
That sentence had been repeated in every classroom since childhood.
Yet no one could explain how it was lost.
Sam was deeply curious about space. Ever since he was a child, he had dreamed of becoming a space explorer.
Now all of humanity existed only on Proxis, but the journey from Earth to Proxis had been harsh, mysterious, and filled with secrets. In school, they were taught that human beings built a highly advanced spacecraft and, after a long voyage across the stars, safely reached Proxis.
But Sam believed there was more to the story.
As these thoughts raced through his mind, he suddenly overheard two people speaking in hushed voices.
"...the truth about the end of Earth..."
Sam froze.
