Chapter 2

Amara swallowed hard.every instinct told her to turn back, but she couldn't ignore the call of the bell.

She tighten her grip on the keys and walked down the dim hallway.

Tap... Tap... Tap...

The footsteps had stopped.

The silence was even more frightening she reached room 13, the old wooden door was slightly open.

It creaked as she pushed it.

Creeeeeak.

The room was empty, the bed was neatly made, the window was shut.

No patient, No nurse, No sound.

Amara let out a slow breath.

I knew it she whispered."there's no one here.

Just as she turned to leave

Ding!

The call bell rang again. It rang again and again she froze.

The bell was right beside the bed.slowly_very slowly... The blanket on the bed began to sink, as if someone invisible had just sat down.

Amara's heart pounded.

Then she heard a week voice.

Nurse...

It sounded like an old woman. Please don't leave me alone...

Amara looked around, but there was still no one she could see.

Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind her.

Bang

The light went out.

In the darkness, something cold wrapped around her wrist. A whisper came from right beside her ear.
