Chapter 1"Rule number one of living in this house: do not try to seduce me. I'm not hungry—I have options whenever I want." Sky said coldly, without even bothering to look at her.
Tonpai rolled her eyes upward at his sheer arrogance.
"Um... in that case, may I have Sundays off? I need some personal time," she explained as he flicked his eyes toward her. She wanted to visit her home to check on the kids at the orphanage and drop by to see Mother Nual.
Sky sat in silence, listening quietly.
"I’ll give you half a day off on Sundays. Is that enough?" His tone left no room for debate.
Tonpai’s mouth fell open in disbelief. Isn't that a bit too harsh?!
"Could I get a full day, please?" she tried to bargain.
He glared at her, his eyes cold and menacing. "Tch... then get the hell out. I’m not hiring you." He growled through gritted teeth.
Tonpai gasped, instantly shaking her head. "Half a day is fine! Honestly, half a day is more than enough—I wouldn't even know what to do with all that extra time anyway," she muttered sarcastically under her breath.
"Keep that smart mouth of yours going, and let's see if you don't break in the end. And remember this clearly: don't you dare throw yourself at me. Don't try to entice me." Sky reinforced his warning once more.
"Always repeating himself... As if he's that handsome, snail-face," she whispered bitterly.
Sky instantly snapped his head up to glare at her. "I heard that. Get out of my office, and keep that contract. Frame it if you have to, so you can clearly see what's forbidden." He shot back with heavy sarcasm.
Tonpai rolled her eyes again. "Understood."
She turned on her heel and walked out of his office to head straight for little William's room. Sky looked up, watching the back of his son's new nanny as she walked away, shaking his head with a faint thought in mind...
'She's even blander than plain milk.'
