Chapter 1:The first meeting
Swati and Avinav first meet when they were children.
They become friends in the most ordinary way possible—through playing together, arguing over small things, and spending time together without understanding that these moments will someday become memories.
One day, Avinav has to leave.
Swati doesn't understand what leaving really means.
Swati: “You will come back, right?”
Avinav: “Why are you asking like I am going somewhere forever?”
Swati: “Because you are going somewhere.”
Avinav: “I will come back.”
Swati: “Promise?”
Avinav looks at her.
Avinav: “Promise.”
And then they separate.
For years, they don't meet.
Until one day, in Class 8, Swati sees a boy who looks strangely familiar.
She looks at him for a while.
Swati: “Have we met before?”
Avinav looks at her.
Avinav: “I was about to ask you the same thing.”
They keep staring at each other.
Then one of them remembers.
Swati: “Wait... Avinav?”
Avinav: “Swati?”
And suddenly, years disappear.
They start talking about their childhood.
Avinav: “You have changed.”
Swati: “You haven't.”
Avinav: “That's a lie.”
Swati: “I know.”
They laugh.
Before leaving, they exchange numbers.
That night, Swati receives a message.
Avinav: Hi.
She looks at the message.
Then replies:
Swati: Hi.
A few seconds later—
Avinav: That's it?
Swati: What else do you want me to say?
Avinav: I don't know. We met after years.
Swati: Okay. Hi again.
Avinav: Much better.
And that's how it begins.
Not with a grand moment.
Not with a dramatic confession.
Just with a “Hi.”
The Messages
At first, their conversations are simple.
They talk about school.
Their friends.
Their families.
Their day.
And slowly, the conversations begin lasting longer.
Avinav: You sleep early?
Swati: Yes.
Avinav: What time?
Swati: Around 10.
Avinav: It's 11:47.
Swati: I know.
Avinav: So?
Swati: I am going to sleep.
Avinav: You said that twenty minutes ago.
Swati: I am still going to sleep.
Avinav: Okay.
A minute passes.
Swati: Are you sleeping?
Avinav: No.
Swati: Why?
Avinav: You told me you were going to sleep.
And the conversation continues.
They begin telling each other things they don't tell everyone else.
Sometimes, they talk for hours.
Sometimes, they send only a few messages.
But even those few messages become important.
They begin to understand each other.
And without either of them noticing exactly when it happened, their friendship becomes something else.
One night, Swati asks:
Swati: “Avinav?”
Avinav: “Hmm?”
Swati: “Do you think people can fall in love without meeting every day?”
Avinav doesn't reply immediately.
Avinav: “Why?”
Swati: “I just asked.”
Avinav: “You don't just ask things.”
She smiles at her phone.
Swati: “Answer.”
Avinav: “I think they can.”
Swati: “How?”
Avinav: “Maybe by talking.”
Swati: “Talking?”
Avinav: “Yes. Sometimes you know a person more through their words than by seeing them every day.”
Swati looks at the screen for a while.
Swati: “That sounds like something you thought about before.”
Avinav: “Maybe I did.”
Swati: “About whom?”
Avinav: “You ask too many questions.”
And the conversation changes.
They both know.
But neither says it.
Until one day, they finally do.
One evening,Swati asks:
Swati:"I wanted to ask something! Are you there?!"
Avinav:"Yes I am here"
Swati:"Ok can I ask this?"
Avinav:"Hmm ask,break the suspense"
Swati:"Do you like me?"
Avinav stares at his phone completely shocked and while blushing...
Avinav:"Maybe"
Swati blushes while looking at the screen but doesn't type anything...After few secs Abhinav types...
Avinav:"Do you like me?"
Swati:"Maybe"
That's when both knew they liked each other ..
Avinav:"So can I consider it as a confession?"
Swati:"Maybe yes"
Avinav:"OMG!! Finally we are in a relationship"
Swati:"Don't get too excited"
That's how everything started..
Everything was going well but one afternoon....Swati messaged and Abhinav never replied.
Swati messaged everyday several times but Avinav gave no response which made Swati disappointed and she blocked him.
They seperated at bad terms .........
