Back Pain Degree
The biggest lie I ever told myself was...
"I'll only carry the important books today."
Five minutes later...
My bag looked like I was shifting houses.
One textbook.
Two notebooks.
Record book.
Assignment file.
Lunch box.
Water bottle.
Umbrella.
Random papers.
One pen that doesn't work.
Three pens that disappeared yesterday but somehow came back.
I wear my bag.
Immediately...
My posture updates to
Question mark (?)
People ask,
"Why are you walking like that?"
Because my bag has its own gravitational force.
Walking to college?
Workout.
Climbing stairs?
Mount Everest expedition.
The funniest part?
The book I carry every single day...
Professor never asks for it.
The one book I leave at home...
"Open page 42."
My shoulders have stopped complaining.
They've accepted their fate.
Sometimes I remove my bag...
And suddenly feel
2 kg lighter...
Mentally...
Emotionally...
Spiritually.
Then comes that one friend.
Carrying only one notebook.
Walking freely.
Smiling.
Breathing normally.
Meanwhile...
I'm carrying enough stationery to open my own bookstore.
And don't even ask about rainy days.
My bag drinks more water than I do.
By the time I reach college...
Even my notebook has an emotional breakdown.
After six hours of classes...
I wear the bag again.
At this point,
I'm not carrying the bag.
The bag is carrying me.
Sometimes I genuinely wonder...
Am I going to college...
Or am I delivering construction materials?
And that's when every college student realizes...
The real weight of college isn't the syllabus.
It's the bag...
