Chapter 1: An Introduction
The Multiversal void, a dimension of infinite size, home to many portals that are mirrors into infinite worlds, some good, some bad, some very bad, it's a chaotic and unpredictable place that exisits in perfect balance, one where only certain beings have access too.
Through one of these portals a world named dimension 11 resides, though many worlds throughout the multiverse are usually inhabited by humans this world is instead inhabited by a supernatural species called the Zarens, they have black eyes, green skin and blocky bodies, and also seem to resemble an undead creature known as a Zombie, but these Zombies are nothing like the typical flesh eating kind and instead act more like humans if not better than humans having peace and no wars, technology is very advanced and resources are many, not to mention what makes them stand out more is how some specific Zarens have the ability to utilize powers that come from their emotion, each emotion grants them amazing power like no other, their world is perfect in almost every way, however every species has it's alpha or leaders and those leaders are King Acheron and Queen Elpis.
Acheron is a ruthless king who is known for leading his army to victory when a tyrant ruled over them years ago, he has a scar on his left eye, wears his signature crown, wears Royal clothing that are a color of black and red, his preferred weapon is a spear that's a color of aqua blue and black with a golden point, his power is Rage, though he's known for being merciless he has a gentle and caring side that not many see.
His wife Queen Elpis is a gentle yet strong woman who hates conflict and opens her heart to anyone in need, she wears a pink and black dress, a slightly smaller crown than the kings and has long beautiful green hair, her preferred weapon is a bow and arrow, specifically one made of Gold, her power is kindness.
Like every King and Queen, the two had children, the first born, Prince Zlayer, takes after his father with a ruthless and tough demeanor, however unlike his father he has a bit of a temper and is more likely to use violence as a solution to some problems involving people, his signature weapon is a metal staff, his power is bravery.
The second born, Princess Zina, like her mother, she is very kind and caring but is not afraid to fight if she has, she is very protective of her little sibling and is very intelligent on the battlefield, her signature weapons are tiny metal knifes that have a variety of abilities, her power is love.
And finally the third born, Zachary, is a shy and quiet person who prefers to keep to himself and read, unlike most of his family Zachary isn't one for fighting and instead wants to do science and machinery, he makes small robots that only dance and sing, and while all of that isn't very impressive for a race full of intelligent creatures, Elpis thinks it's what makes him unique and tells him that he'll be a great inventor one day.
On a normal winter evening, Acheron and Elpis sat at the table with their family members as usual, discussing how each of their regions are doing and what the future holds for their children.
As the evening continues Zafina, Elpis' older sister breaks the silence and asks her a question she's asked before.
Zafina: Dear sister I really hate to be nosey but I can't seem to stop asking this question, what's with your youngest son Zachary? It's been months since you said that you and Acheron would be more firm about wanting him to be more like his family.
Elpis looked at her sister with a calm and patient expression.
Elpis: Though we want Zachary to follow in our footsteps we figured it's best to try and be more patient and considerate with him and wait until he's ready to give it a try, he is only 9 years old after all and we figured it'd be best to wait until the time is right.
Zoreil, Acherons older brother raises his voice with that usual loud and arrogant tone.
Zorel: ah shoot you might as well just wait until he's too used to sticking to those potion and machinery stuff, c'mon little brother you must admit that it's time for him to let go of those dreams of being a scientist and join the rest of the family as a strong warrior like his older brother and sister!
Acheron gave his brother a serious expression as he speaks in a calm yet serious tone.
Acheron: Zachary isn't like his siblings, they chose to be interested in combat, even though Zachary's interests are a bit strange for a fellow Zaren, we don't want him to think we're against what he likes, he might think we don't want him to have a choice in what he wants to do.
Zaria, Acherons younger sister speaks in a slightly quiet and calm tone.
Zaria: I think it's nice that you two aren't forcing your beliefs onto Zachary, I've seen how he is, he's quite a sensitive one who would drop to the ground if he felt like he was in danger.
Acheron: Thank you dear sister, at least someone agrees with how I raise my children, like it or not he is a Zaren, it doesn't matter what he chooses to do he's still my son, i want him to be his own warrior.
And so the evening continued on as the family continued chatting at the table, meanwhile Zachary was over hearing their conversation from the stairs, until Zlayer grabbed his shoulder and pulled him away from the stairs.
Zlayer: what're you doing? Nosey much?
Zachary: what? I like listening to their conversations sometimes, There's nothing wrong with that.
Zlayer: not unless you wanna hear something you don't wanna hear, lemme guess you're eavesdropping to see what they think about you're beliefs?
Zachary nodded, Zlayer sighed as he knows what it's like to be judged for showing who you really are
Zlayer: c'mon let's go hunting with Zina, it could help take your mind off all this.
Zachary: ok
The two get their hunting gear and set out to find their sister.
Meanwhile, a hooded figured roamed the streets of the city Zarian, his hidden smile wide and menacing, he makes sure no ones looking and teleports up the highest building in the city.
