Chapter 1The Feeling That Wasn't Mine
MOODS
Episode 1: The Feeling That Wasn't Mine
Rain covered the streets of Ashvale before sunrise.
Nineteen-year-old Elian Cross woke with tears already running down his face. He searched his room for a reason to cry, but nothing had happened. His life was ordinary. His family was safe. Yet the sadness felt heavier than anything he had ever known.
On the bus to college, a little girl smiled at him.
Without warning, the sadness vanished.
A strange warmth filled his chest. He laughed out loud, confusing everyone around him.
Across the city, a violinist suddenly stopped playing. Happiness disappeared from her heart and was replaced by the same unbearable grief Elian had just lost.
Neither of them knew they had exchanged emotions.
That evening, Elian found an old envelope pushed beneath his apartment door.
Inside was a single black card with silver letters.
"Your feelings are no longer your own."
There was no name.
No address.
Only a small symbol shaped like a broken circle.
As he stared at it, every light in his apartment flickered.
Somewhere in the darkness, someone whispered,
"The Current has chosen another soul."
Elian slowly turned toward the empty hallway.
No one was there.
But the apartment door quietly closed by itself.

Episode 2: The Silent Exchange
Elian couldn't sleep.
The black card remained on his desk, but every time he looked away, it seemed to move a little closer.
The next morning, the city felt different.
People laughed at funerals.
Others cried during birthday celebrations.
A police officer froze in the middle of traffic, overwhelmed by fear that wasn't his own.
Something invisible was spreading.
At college, Elian met Nora Vale, a quiet psychology student who had experienced the same impossible changes. She admitted that every day she woke up with emotions that belonged to strangers.
She showed him a notebook filled with dates, places, and names.
Every strange emotional shift happened at exactly 7:17 PM.
That evening, Elian and Nora waited in the old town square.
As the clock struck 7:17 PM, the air became unnaturally still.
For a single second...
Everyone stopped moving.
Then, dozens of people gasped at the same time.
Some smiled.
Some screamed.
Some collapsed into tears.
A shadow stood across the street, watching them without a face.
It slowly raised one hand.
The broken-circle symbol appeared in the sky for a heartbeat...
...and vanished.
Nora whispered,
"We're not watching this happen anymore."
She looked at Elian.
"We're part of it now."

Episode 3: The Collector
The broken-circle symbol refused to leave Elian's mind.
Every mirror he passed reflected it for only a second before disappearing.
Nora discovered another name in her notebook.
Maren Holt.
A retired scientist who had vanished ten years earlier without leaving a single trace.
They followed the last address connected to her.
It led them to an abandoned subway station beneath Ashvale.
Dust covered every wall.
In the center of the station stood hundreds of glass jars.
Each jar glowed with a different color.
A small metal label was attached to every one.
Hope.
Fear.
Love.
Regret.
Nora whispered, "These aren't memories..."
"They're emotions."
A voice echoed through the tunnel.
"You finally found my collection."
An old man stepped out of the darkness.
His eyes were completely silver.
"My name no longer matters," he said. "People once called me The Collector."
He looked at Elian.
"You've already carried seven emotions that were never yours."
Elian felt his heartbeat race.
"Who are you?"
The Collector smiled sadly.
"I didn't create the Mood Current."
"I only tried to imprison it."
Suddenly, every glass jar began to crack.
The colors escaped into the air like glowing smoke.
The station shook violently.
The Collector shouted,
"Run... before the Current remembers your name!"
The lights exploded into darkness.

Episode 4: The Empty Heart
The tunnel collapsed behind Elian and Nora.
They escaped into the cold night, but something had changed.
The city was silent.
No laughter.
No arguments.
No music.
People walked through the streets with blank expressions, as if every feeling had been erased.
A little boy fell from his bicycle.
His mother watched him without fear.
Without love.
Without concern.
She simply turned and walked away.
Nora whispered, "The Current isn't stealing emotions anymore..."
"It's deleting them."
Elian reached into his pocket.
The black card was gone.
In its place was a silver key engraved with the broken-circle symbol.
On the back were four words:
"Open what was hidden."
The key led them to an abandoned clock tower at the edge of Ashvale.
Inside, hundreds of clocks ticked at different speeds.
Only one clock was still.
As Elian placed the silver key into its lock, the hands began to move backward.
A hidden door slowly opened.
Behind it stood a girl dressed in white, no older than sixteen.
Her eyes shimmered with every emotion at once—joy, sorrow, anger, hope, and fear.
She looked directly at Elian.
"You opened the last door."
"The Current knows you're here."
The tower trembled.
From below came hundreds of footsteps climbing the stairs.
Not people.
Not shadows.
Something in between.
The girl whispered,
"If they reach us... no heart in Ashvale will ever feel again."

Episode 5: The Heartkeeper
The footsteps grew louder.
The girl in white stepped forward.
"My name is Lyra," she said. "I am the last Heartkeeper."
The creatures reached the top of the stairs.
They had no faces.
Only smooth skin where their eyes and mouths should have been.
Yet they moved as if they could sense every heartbeat.
Lyra raised her hand.
A circle of golden light surrounded the room.
The creatures stopped.
For a moment.
Then the light shattered.
"They're becoming stronger," Lyra whispered.
She turned to Elian.
"The Mood Current is alive. It feeds on abandoned emotions. Every lie, every hidden tear, every forgotten dream makes it stronger."
Elian clenched his fists.
"Then how do we stop it?"
Lyra looked toward the center of the tower.
"There is a place beneath this city called The First Heart. It is where every human emotion was born."
"If the Current reaches it..."
"...every person on Earth will become empty."
Suddenly, one of the faceless creatures stepped through the broken light.
It slowly pointed at Elian.
For the first time, it spoke.
"You already belong to us."
A burning pain spread across Elian's chest.
A glowing mark—the broken circle—appeared over his heart.
Nora stared in shock.
"What did they do to you?"
Elian looked down at the mark.
He could no longer feel fear.
He could no longer feel joy.
Only silence.
Far beneath Ashvale, something ancient opened its eyes.
And it whispered one name.
"Elian."

Episode 6: The First Heart
Elian stared at the glowing mark on his chest.
There was no fear.
No pain.
Only an endless silence.
Nora grabbed his hand, hoping he would react.
Nothing.
"It has taken your emotions," she whispered.
Lyra closed her eyes.
"No... it has locked them away."
The three descended beneath the clock tower through a hidden stone passage.
The deeper they walked, the warmer the air became.
Soon they reached an enormous underground chamber.
At its center floated a crystal unlike anything they had ever seen.
Inside it was a single heartbeat.
Slow.
Powerful.
Alive.
Lyra bowed her head.
"The First Heart."
Every human emotion had begun here.
Joy.
Love.
Hope.
Courage.
Even sorrow.
As Elian stepped closer, the crystal suddenly cracked.
A voice echoed through the chamber.
"You finally returned."
Dark smoke gathered into the shape of a tall figure wearing a black coat.
Its face shifted constantly—young, old, smiling, crying.
"I am Morrow," it said.
"I was the first emotion ever rejected."
"When humanity buried its pain instead of facing it... I was born."
Morrow raised one hand.
The broken-circle mark on Elian's chest blazed with light.
"You are my bridge."
"Through your heart, I will reach every soul."
The chamber shook violently.
The crystal split even further.
A wave of invisible energy burst across Ashvale.
Above ground, thousands of people stopped walking at the exact same moment.
They all turned toward the underground chamber...
...as if hearing the same silent command.

Episode 7: The Choice
Every person in Ashvale began walking toward The First Heart.
No one spoke.
No one blinked.
They moved like a single mind.
Nora watched in horror.
"If they reach this place, Morrow will control every emotion on Earth."
Morrow stepped toward the crystal.
"You cannot defeat me," he said calmly. "I am not evil. I am every feeling humanity refused to accept."
The broken-circle mark on Elian's chest burned brighter.
For the first time since the mark appeared, he heard another heartbeat.
His own.
A faint voice echoed inside him.
"Your emotions were never stolen... they were waiting for you to choose them."
Elian closed his eyes.
He remembered his mother's smile.
His first true friend.
The nights he had cried alone.
The hope he refused to lose.
One by one, every memory returned.
The broken-circle mark cracked.
Light burst from his chest and spread through the chamber.
The people outside suddenly stopped walking.
Many collapsed to their knees, crying, laughing, and embracing one another as their true emotions returned.
Morrow looked at Elian—not with anger, but with sadness.
"So... you chose to feel everything."
Elian nodded.
"Even pain deserves a place in the heart."
The crystal of the First Heart glowed brighter than ever before.
But a deep crack still remained.
Lyra looked at it in silence.
"If that crack isn't healed before sunrise..."
"...the First Heart will shatter forever."

Episode 8: Every Heart Beats
The first rays of sunrise reached the underground chamber.
A single crack stretched across The First Heart.
With every second, it grew wider.
Morrow stood silently before the crystal.
"I never wanted to destroy humanity," he said. "I only wanted people to stop hiding from their pain."
Lyra stepped forward.
"You were born from rejection, not from truth."
Elian looked at the glowing Heart.
He finally understood.
The First Heart did not need power.
It needed acceptance.
He walked to the crystal and placed both hands on it.
"I accept my fear."
"I accept my grief."
"I accept my failures."
"And I accept my hope."
One by one, Nora and Lyra did the same.
Across Ashvale, people began accepting the emotions they had spent years trying to bury.
Some cried.
Some forgave.
Some smiled for the first time in years.
Golden light spread through the city.
The crack in the First Heart slowly disappeared.
Morrow watched as his shadow faded.
Before vanishing, he smiled gently.
"When people stop running from their emotions..."
"...they no longer need me."
He dissolved into thousands of tiny lights that rose into the morning sky.
The broken-circle symbol disappeared from every heart.
The Mood Current was gone.
Weeks later, life in Ashvale felt ordinary again.
Children laughed in the parks.
Musicians filled the streets with music.
Strangers smiled at one another.
Elian stood on a bridge overlooking the city.
Nora joined him.
"What happens now?" she asked.
Elian smiled.
"We keep feeling."
The sun rose over Ashvale.
Every heartbeat echoed with hope.
