Summary

Do you believe in curses? Not the ones whispered in bedtime stories... but the ones etched into your blood long before you were born. Cerena never questioned the faint crimson mark on her wrist. To her, it was nothing more than an unusual birthmark. She was wrong. It was a claim. A promise sealed a thousand years ago. A debt written in blood. As ancient secrets awaken, Cerena is dragged into a world where demons rule from the shadows, fate cannot be escaped, and love is the cruelest curse of all. For a millennium, he has waited. Chapter 1

Cerena jolted awake in the middle of the night, a sharp cry escaping her lips.

Pain.

An unbearable, searing pain shot through her left wrist as if molten iron had been branded into her skin.

She clutched it, her trembling fingers barely able to touch the burning flesh.

The birthmark...

No.

It wasn't a birthmark anymore.

The faint crimson stain she had lived with since birth had transformed into an intricate symbol-a five-pointed sigil, glowing beneath her skin as though it had been carved into her flesh by an unseen hand.

Its crimson light pulsed like a heartbeat.

But because the darkness itself had begun to spread.

It seeped from every corner of the room, swallowing the moonlight that spilled through the window. Within seconds, her bedroom was consumed by a blackness deeper than the emptiness between stars.

No light.

No shadows.

Only darkness.

Every hair on her body stood on end.

A violent shiver ran down her spine.

"C... Come on," she whispered to herself.

She tried to throw the blanket aside.

Nothing.

She tried to move.

Nothing.

It felt as though invisible hands had wrapped around her body, pinning her to the bed.

The darkness was holding her still.

Her heart pounded wildly against her ribs.

Five endless minutes crawled by.

Then...

A voice shattered the silence.

Deep.

Calm.

Male.

A voice she had never heard before.

Yet it carried an ancient authority that made the darkness itself seem obedient.

Each word vibrated through the room... and through her soul.

Certainly! Here's a continuation in a dark fantasy style, keeping the tone eerie and suspenseful without becoming excessively graphic.

The voice lingered in the darkness, low and velvety, carrying an ancient power that made every breath feel heavier.

"Cerena..."
