Chapter 1 The Beginning
The room was cluttered with belongings scattered all around. Amulya lay quietly on her bed, her eyes fixed on the ceiling.
But her mind was somewhere else.
Lost in her thoughts, she couldn't stop thinking. Countless questions kept circling in her mind—questions even she didn't know the answers to.
Her heart felt heavy, her soul exhausted, and an unfamiliar restlessness lingered deep within her.
Suddenly, her phone rang.
She glanced at it but didn't think it was important enough to answer.
For a few moments, she remained silent. Then she slowly got out of bed and walked into the bathroom to get ready.
A little while later, she came out dressed and ready.
She was in a hurry.
Without giving it much thought, she grabbed the first thing she could find in the kitchen and hurried out of the house.
She got into her car and drove to the office.
The moment she stepped inside, it felt as though she had entered a completely different world.
Amulya was a writer.
She loved writing.
The words she couldn't say aloud and the emotions she couldn't express—she poured them all into her stories.
Writing wasn't just a job for her.
It was the only way she truly understood herself.
But writing books wasn't the only part of her world.
She worked as an editor at a publishing house, where she spent her days refining other people's stories and her nights trying to complete her own unfinished ones.
She sat quietly in her chair, her eyes resting on the file lying on the desk before her.
A gentle silence filled the room, while the faint sounds of activity echoed from outside the office.
Just then...
Someone knocked on the door.
