I pressed my mouth to her ear and worked her higher, my fingers curling against those ridges until she was trembling on the edge.
“Come for me,” I murmured. “Go on. I have you.”
She broke. She clenched around my fingers in long pulsing waves, her slick heat clutching at me, her nails biting into the scales in my shoulders hard enough to draw blood. And as she shattered, as her release rolled through her, she gasped a name against my throat.
“Caelix—”
The world stopped.
That was my real name.
No one in this realm knew that name. No one living outside the Dark Realm should have known it at all. The hunger drained out of me. Everything went cold and clear.
I drew back and looked at her — really looked — at the flushed face and the dazed golden eyes that were only now beginning to focus, only now beginning to understand what she had let slip. The confusion I’d seen earlier made sense now. So did the bargain. So did all of it.
I had her.
“There you are,” I said softly. “I’ve been hunting you for so long, and here you are, undone against a wall, handing me your own throat.”
“Wait—” Her eyes went wide. “You don’t understand, I’m not—”
“I understand perfectly.” I caught her wrist before she could pull away, and my grip was iron. “You’re coming with me to the Dark Realm. And when I’m done with you, you will never see the light of this world again, Dracelia.”

What to expect?
