Summary

The stakes couldn't be higher. And this time, love isn't the only thing they're fighting to protect. Three years after surviving the blood-soaked nightmare of Hong Kong, Mina, Lorenzo, and their three-year-old son, Tristan, have finally built a life of quiet luxury in London. Nestled safely within Fontana territory, they thought the worst was behind them. They were wrong. The peace they fought so hard for is crumbling from the inside out. Vincenzo, the formidable head of the Fontana empire, has been putting his own neck on the line to shield Lorenzo from the fallout of his choices. But a Fontana falling for a Moon-and producing a child with her-is an unpardonable sin. A quiet civil war brews in the shadows of Italy, with the mob's old guard demanding Lorenzo be stripped of his name, stripped of his power, and cast out like a traitor. Across the globe, hatred burns hotter than ever. Left crippled with mechanical ankles and a face forever ruined by Lorenzo's fists, Zihan is driven by an unhinged, sickening obsession. Death is too sweet a mercy for the man who broke him. Zihan wants Mina back under his heel, forced back into her cage-and he vows to make her and Lorenzo watch as he slaughters their young son in cold blood. To wage his war, Zihan turns his sight to Marcellus Moon. Feeding the paranoid patriarch relentless poison and convincing him that both Mina and Jin have betrayed the family, Zihan successfully steals full control of the Golden Lotus triad, backed by the absolute force of the Moon empire. And watching from the shadows of the US is Emilio Fontana, waiting to strike while the iron is hot. With war declared on two fronts and enemies closing in from every corner of the world, Lorenzo and Mina are forced back into the fire. Bloodier, wilder, and more ruthless than ever, they will tear the underworld apart brick by brick before they let anyone touch their son.

💥author's note 💥

Before You Begin...

Make sure you’ve read Book 1:Loving a Fontana first, or you’ll be completely lost when the chaos unfolds in Book 2!

A few fair warnings before you jump in:

1. This book is significantly spicier than the first—expect plenty of explicit scenes along with a generous splash of gore and violence.

Who says you can’t make love while people are actively trying to kill you? Consider the war outside just ambient background noise.

Talk about killing the mood... literally. 😉

2. My characters drop plenty of “fucks,” but that’s about as far as the profanity goes.

3. This is a dark mafia romance. Decisions will be questionable, ethics will be blurry, and nobody here is playing the saint.

4. Everything here is purely imaginary.

This book won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s totally okay! All I ask is that you hate the characters, not the author.

Read at your own risk.You have officially been warned.(;
