Chapter 1: The Boy Next Door

Chapter 1: The Boy Next Door

The first time Duwa saw Zain, she was just a little girl.

She had gone to his house with her mother to visit her mother's friend. Outside, Zain was happily playing with his brothers.

Duwa noticed him for a moment, but he was just another boy to her. She felt nothing, and soon, the memory faded.

Years passed.

One day, Zain's family moved into a house near Duwa's. It had been years since she had last seen him.

When Duwa looked at him again, she couldn't believe how much he had changed. The little boy she once remembered had grown into a handsome young man.

Duwa found herself looking at him again and again, without even realizing it.

From that day on, the house next to Duwa's wasn't just another house anymore.

Sometimes, she would see Zain leaving for school.

Sometimes, he would return in the evening with his friends.

Their eyes met for only a second, but those seconds stayed with her for hours.

Zain had no idea that they had met years before. To him, Duwa was simply the quiet girl living next door.

At that time, Zain was in 10th standard, and Duwa was in 9th standard.

Neither of them knew...

A silent story had already begun.
